Hampi is not just beautiful ruins of the Vijaynagar kingdom. Beyond the ruins and the river, there lies a vibrant world of greens, browns, blues and smiles.
#tbt to my little yoga paradise in Hampi. Getting up at sunrise is so much easier when this is the view! The days get so hot (40+), I was getting up with the sun to make the most of the day and then enjoying a nap in the afternoon. In fact that is still my daily schedule 😁☀️😴
I chanced on some of the most amazing cafes in Hampi. Some were amazing cause of the trippy trance music they played at night, some for serving the most magical beer in porcelain jars and some simply for feeding us the best home baked cheese cakes we'd ever tasted.
However, one thing was common to all. The way they all boasted of their organic-ness. And, here's a fine example of that- lamp shades made of yellow chart paper and mugs made from bamboo plants 😃
Walking around Hampi at sunrise was pretty beautiful, the temples were lit up in the most beautiful of ways and the temperature was still bearable. We visited a little too late as temperature were hitting the mid 40's🔥we left for our walk at sunrise to beat the heat and it was spectacular. Not only are there hundreds of temples all dotted withing walking distance to one another there are also huge mountainous blulders you can climb to marvel at this historic place. We were recomended to visit Hampi as it also has hippie vibes, its inexpensive and somewhere to chill out and explore. So thats exactly what we did!
I am very happy to find this video today of my earliest high boulder in #hampi back in 2015. This boulder is kind of a turning point in my climbing life till now. Rather than fear I remember I was having so much fun while the people below ( fellow climber ) were scared except one even when it was just 5b maybe. And the wind was perfect so later the same day I did my first 6b on sight also a high boulder. This craze from the first multiplied like a virus. And now I only like to climb high boulders if bouldering outside .
I realised after this boulder that I really love to climb high stuff. Before that I was not sure about it. And right now as I have a not been able to climb because of my finger injury when I found this video I became very happy and frustrated . But it's cool I will try to go back this year again . And do some serious high boulders hehehe.
NEW OM YOGA TRIBE CLASS!
Ahhh mediation. That seemingly elusive practice…while it’s not easy, it is completely accessible to everyone. Self inquiry and getting to know ourselves as we are may be one of the greatest things we can do. Don’t attempt to fix or change, just sit and be. Two of the most challenging requests! Give it a go with me in this class. We are definitely learning together!
New class out on OM Yoga Tribe! (I’m not filming with YogaTX anymore so all my new videos are here!) Filmed in magical Hampi, India by @aabaglii
