🥘Tipu Sultan - Leicester🥘
I’ve always wanted to check out Tipu Sultan, I knew they had a branch in Bham, but through the power of Instagram I was told about the branch in Leicester.
I was living for the plethora of chandeliers dotted around the whole restaurant, I was impressed, I like OTT, and I liked that there were a lot of focal points for pictures but also to keep one entertained.
My friends and I opted for the staple dishes from the menu, Sultans meat platter, Papri chaat, Aloo tikki chaat, and I went full steam for a chicken curry on a hot summers day because yolo.
Our waiter was very good with suggestions and giving us portion sizes and spice levels of the dishes.
We ordered a lot and we tried our damn well best to finish everything. I could have eaten there all day, everything tasted so good, was super fresh, and just made well.
If you ever find yourself in Leicester, or live close by this place, it’s a must visit, good one for the family or with friends.
Crab cake with poached eggs, sriracha hollandaise and spinach... look at that yummy yummy yolk!!!!
Brighten up this gloomy weekend with a little bit of sunshine on your plate @eggbreak_ldn . You will not be disappointed!
Ambience 4/5 (very busy but lovely)
The Munching Medic
Thank you @thaipie200 For inviting us down to your new branch in Stratford. It was such a pleasure!
I can honestly say this was one of the tastiest steaks I have ever had! In fact, I tried many of their dishes and seriously every single thing I had tasted delicious! On top of that, the staff here were so friendly and welcoming.
Thai and Pie serves Thai food, Pies and steaks. So they have a great range of dishes to pick from.
For starters we had the; Wonton and Tom Yum soup.
Mains; Rib-eye steak, Valentine Lamb pie, Lamb chips and buffalo wings.
Drinks; Strawberry Mojito and Peach Mojito.
It’s been an age since we visited @meatandshake so we decided to take ourselves back down. Honestly it was the thick shakes that were luring us back in this weather.
However, we were pleased to be able to try the Cool Joe, Mean Joe, Killer Joe burger that won the 2017 #nationalburgerawards competition. It was a combination and beef and lamb and had really good flavour. The pulled rib burger was moist as you’d expect and the bbq sauce sticky sweet. We asked for jalapeños on top to add a bit of heat as otherwise this would have been too sweet. The truffle fries and onion rings were yummy too. And the milkshakes did not disappoint and hit the spot in this heat. #halal#halaldining#halaldiningclub#halalburgers#milkshakes#meatandshake#trufflefries

The restaurant is by non other than the famous Marco Pierre White who is known to be a mentor for chefs such as Gordon Ramsey. It’s serving up some incredible high quality standard of dishes for any food lover. I happened to attend a session with fellow bloggers to try out most of the dishes. Pictured above are some of the main courses I tried. 🔳 Roast Rump Of Lamb Dijonaise 🔳 35 day aged T-Bone To share 🔳 Chophouse Mixed Grill for two 🔳 Roast Chicken A La Forestiere. These dishes were cooked to perfection and presented how you would get it in a fine dining setting. The dishes not only looked good but they tasted sublime. I’m a medium cook steak lover, first time tried it Medium rare and I been missing out. The steak was so damn soft and juicy. A very highly quality steak. The Roast rump of lamb was exquisite and just was so enjoyable to eat, the dauphinoise potatoes were perfectly complimented and probably was the best dish personally for me. The Chicken was also very well cooked and the mushrooms, caramelised onions and the juices were the ideal factor that dish came together. The mix grill had cuts of lamb chops, filet steak, chicken and jumbo prawns all were very well cooked. For me personally the T-Bone and the Roast Rump Lamb were the winner. I definitely need to head back and try their BURGERS. Heard they do some delicious burgers. It’s spacious and not cramped up with other tables next to you. 🔳 I’ll be posting their special ramadhan menu alongside discount codes soon. So keep an eye out.... 😋😋 #halalhunt#halal#foodie#foodlover#foodjunkie#foodpics#instafood#instacool#instalike#instadaily#instamood#yummy#delicious#35dayaged#whitebait#mackerel#halaldining#halalfinedining#newroad#newroadhotel#whitechapel#marcopierrewhite#mrwhiteswhitechapel

The restaurant is by non other than the famous Marco Pierre White who is known to be a mentor for chefs such as Gordon Ramsey. It’s serving up some incredible high quality standard of dishes for any food lover. I happened to attend a session with fellow bloggers to try out most of the dishes. Firstly the starters and dessert which are 🔳 Maxim Quail Eggs Maintenon 🔳 Crispy Devilled Whitebait 🔳 Smoked Mackerel Brandade 🔳 Wheelers Crispy Calamari. Desserts are 🔳 Creme Brûlée 🔳 Fresh Blueberry Cheesecake 🔳 Eton Mess 🔳 Sticky Toffee Pudding 🔳 Icre cream and Sorbet and 🔳 Selection of Farm house cheese. The starters were very unique and different yet delicious, all the starters I had were really enjoyable to eat. The whitebait and smocked mackerel were really catchy as it’s something bengalis like which I never had tried and it had Mr Marco White own touch I guess. If I had to choose my favourite it would definitely be Maxims Quail Eggs. The Creme Brûlée was a winner for the desserts. Even though the sticky toffee pudding and the cheesecake were sublime however I haven’t enjoyed a creme Brûlée for a long time since visiting this place. Definitely recommend this place to everyone. It’s ideal for any occasion. Let it be a day out or even a special evening. The place has amazing decor and very cosy. It’s spacious and not cramped up with other tables next to you. 😋😋😋 #halalhunt#halal#foodie#foodlover#foodjunkie#foodpics#instafood#instacool#instalike#instadaily#instamood#yummy#delicious#35dayaged#whitebait#mackerel#halaldining#halalfinedining#newroad#newroadhotel#whitechapel#marcopierrewhite#mrwhiteswhitechapel
Visited P.F Chang's a while back with my brother and sister in law (3rd wheeling as per usual 🤣) Dynamite Shrimp lived up to the hype.
Wasabi mash had nice texture, lacked any kick from the wasabi.
Lamb Chops cooked perfectly, but too strong on the soy sauce (that could be a personal preference)
Sushi was decent, nothing to bang on about.
Calamari was nice.
Spicy Jam Wings had a nice level of spice.
Kung Pao Chicken was cooked nicely, but dont let the chillies decieve you, no 'Pao' what so ever.
Mongolian beef was cooked and flavoured perfectly.
Pear Mojito was delicious, one of the best mocktails I've had.
Also had some rice and noodles to go with out mains, nothing special.
If your going to check it out, Dynamite Shrimp, Mongolian Beef and Pear Mojito are my recommendations.
Starters were fresh crab and calamari. They weren’t joking when they say fresh crab, it was as fresh as it could come! I just wish there was more crab! The calamari was served with the perfect sauce, but you have to eat it with the sauce otherwise you wouldn’t be able to appreciate the taste. For the mains (although I wanted to try the burgers) we went for the mixed grill board. My favourite from it were the jumbo shrimps and the beef fillet. I’m not the biggest fan of lamb, although the orher half really enjoyed them. Even though the chicken wasn’t dry, it was bland, so I know Next time I’d definitely stick to their burgers or steak (actually their seafood was also very good)! The chefs clearly know how to handle their meats and really treat it well. so you know the steak will be good! The best part of our meal there has got to be the dessert! Absolutely gorgeous. I’m not usually a huge fan of overly sweet desserts like the Mr, but their sticky toffee pudding has got to be the best around town! Although both drinks look the same, mine was actually better. I went for the bees knees and it was delicious. @mrwhiteswhitechapel flavours are very subtle but they know what they are doing and I think it really worked. I will be going back again. ALSO, I think they still have 50% off until the 6th May, so if you’re unsure, go visit them now and try it out while the offer is still on! Note: the regular price of the food is actually not that expensive, so even if you miss out on their discounted offer, it’s is still worth the visit.
🍳 @briocheburger 🍳
People who suggest getting breakfast together as a hangout plan are the best type of people that you need to hang on to for life! I was impressed by the breakfast at @briocheburger, I love my Egg Royale with Salmon, and this place did it justice! The atmosphere was so chill, perfect for those “I’m going to leave the house wearing my sunglasses type of days”. It’s just an easy pit stop place which has good brekky/brunch options.
🍳🥑 @dallowayterrace 🍳🥑
What do you get when you combine Egg Royale with avocado and a flower wall, you get the brunch made of dreams.
Many of you would have heard of Dalloway Terrace which became popular last year for its seasonal foliage, and they have not disappointed for spring/ summer this year with a fantastic array of bright coloured foliage and flowers to
make your Instagram pictures bang, so you can live your best life.
Dalloway Terrace has an array of menus to choose from, such as all day dining a la carte, the brunch menu, and even afternoon tea, so there is plenty for all times of the day.
The food was great quality and generous portions. Not technically halal but the fish and veggie options are well thought out and there is something on the menu for everyone. From rather intricate creations to good old fish and chips.
The staff were so helpful, my sister had a minor (NOT) tantrum about not being seated near the foliage even though it was requested in our booking but not provided when we turned up, but they moved us as they understood our needs and that fact we don’t get out the house much.
The staff created mocktails for us which were not on the menu which again is fantastic, we had a sweet fruit based berry concoction, but choose what ever your heart desires, and I’m sure they can facilitate it.
I loved this place and I want to defo go back, but the missions I had to go through to get a booking is just beyond my patience abilities. You have to book well in advance, walk ins are practically a no go, only if you’re lucky and god loves you then maybe.
I urge all men to take their girlfriends, partners, wives here because if you do, you’ll have a good 2018, cause bae will love you forever.
This is an ideal date, bday, occasion meal place, and I highly recommend to choose a daytime slot as you would appreciate the setting more. At night it just feels like you’re sitting in a candle lit greenhouse.
Let me know if you’ve been and if you liked it. Any questions please ask below.
A Moroccan Michelin star restaurant that's set in the trendy Portebello area... @zayaneportobello really was a hidden 💎 The restaurant has a lovely intimate setting which is perfect for & dinner.
For starters we had the spicy truffle cauliflower croquettes, truffle mayo and the deep fried aubergines, sesame mayo. For mains we had the chicken tagine, Casablanca olives, preserved lemons with dauphine potatoes. Next you have the delicious Atlas bitter honey & balsamic glazed lamb shank tagine, prunes, roast baby carrots, couscous, aubergines and sultanas.
The 🍖 fell off the bone like a dream! You know it's a good meal when there's silence at the dinner table 😉

My first time trying out Uyghur food was at Kebab Empire near Columbus Circle.
For those of you who, like me, didn’t know what that is, Uyghur are a Turkic speaking ethnic population living mostly in North-western China. Uyghur cuisine is characterised by mutton, chicken, beef, carrots, tomatoes, eggplant and onions. Cool, right?
Having done my research into Uyghur cuisine, I felt that Kebab Empire definitely delivered just that! The food was veryyy different to your typical Turkish or Iranian kebabs- I found the meat to be more tender and smokey.
Served fresh on hot metal skewers in bamboo wood serving dishes, the aesthetic touch definitely served its purpose in helping us experience true Uyghur food.
Kebab Empire was very reasonably priced and the servers were soo sweet! Ps- every meal comes with a free cup of Uyghur tea, I love little touches like that! (And you know, free stuff...💁🏽♀️) #halalfood#kebabs#foodie

So I’ve wanted to go to Christopher’s for a long time having heard amazing things about the some of the dishes in particular the French toast. I thought what better time than Easter weekend to go with the family for brunch.
When we arrived everything on the menu was so appealing, although not everything was halal (only certain steaks), but there were a lot of veggie and fish options which for a brunch is perfect, and also very substantial, it didn’t feel like you were being deprived of meat. We all decided to opt for a variety of dishes, some of them were Lobster benedict, Portobello mushroom sandwich, and Sweetcorn and Zucchini hot cakes (as seen above)
The options for drinks were vast, from healthy smoothies to non-alcoholic mocktails, I would recommend the rose and lychee mocktail which was a concoction of dreams.
Christopher’s was a great setting for an occasion meal, they have various menus for various meal times, and no doubt its seasonal and variates over time.
The only thing I was disappointed with was the portions size of our meals, in comparison to places like the Ivy etc I could have eaten a lot more, but that’s just #fatboyproblems . I would return to Christopher’s for the French toast, which was hugely recommended by everyone and did not disappoint, that I could have eaten allllll day. I am interested in trying the rest of the menu, and maybe will be a chill spot for a date night. I like the space and atmosphere of Christopher’s and that made for a lovely brunch. Service was faultless, our waitress even took a plethora of group photos for our British Vogue cover.(so watch out for your newsstand guys 😂)

Not that often you find an authentic halal Italian restaurant so when you do, it's worth travelling for. Va Pensiero in Radlett serves halal chicken and lamb - the staff are very knowledgeable about what's halal and not.
The Cotoletta alla Milanese (chicken escalape) was delicious - we asked for it with tomato pasta rather than pasta with Bolognese.
Check out the mozzarella in breadcrumbs and that funghi pizza! 😋
H and I had a lovely dinner at @positanoristo tonight. This new Italian restaurant serves authentic and halal Italian food that was really quite good! We got the pepperoni pizza, squid ink pasta, crab meat macaroni and cheese, and panna cotta. It’s difficult to find good, halal Italian food in Singapore and we think it’s great that @positanoristo has brought that into the halal scene. The food was flavourful. H said he was sad his squid ink pasta was finishing (lol) because he cleaned the plate out quite quickly. My mac and cheese portion was just right, not too cheesy and had a bite due to the breadcrumbs topping on top. The pizza was simple; tomato base with pepperoni slices. The crust was crispy and thin (I prefer thick pizzas but that’s my personal opinion). Servers were friendly and attentive, though the ambience was busy due to the Saturday night dinner crowd. Definitely gonna come back for the other dishes. Lovely little place to check out for your next Italian fix! 🧀🍝🥫.
