Time for my weekly heavy leg session 🐾🙌🏻 I lowered my weight sessions down to one upper body/one lower body a week due to my own goals changing. Remember never to copy someones else’s diet/training routine as everyone has different goals. Always do what works for you personally, its a lengthy process and usually consists of trial and error but I can assure you, you’ll end up happier and with the results you want ✨
Depressed as F on vacation? Ya that’s me! I feel terribly guilty because this trip “should” be amazing... but the thing is: depression doesn’t take a vacation nor does it wait till a suitable time to hit. So yes. I am depressed and have had many suicidal thoughts over the past few days. I am doing everything I can to enjoy my trip; I am really amazed by this wonderful city. However I am having a very difficult time mentally and emotionally which is why I hunted down a gym in the middle of the city and got a workout in. If fitness can be my medicine while I’m away then I’m gonna take it and run: I mean, how amazing is it that fitness can come with you anywhere in the world? This isn’t a poor me post but more so just being honest that no matter what stage of recovery you’re in that hard days still happen and that ultimately you are in control of the outcome of those days too. ✌🏼

A few things about my training today:
1. This is the first time I’ve rested a load directly on my back after suffering damage to my spine so I kept it super light as to not aggravate anything and focused on form, reps, and speed.
2. I added some accessory movements in that have shown me where I need to gain more mobility. In the second clip you can see my hips aren’t moving as far as I would like so gives me something to work on
3. Finally, I bought a new tripod to film these clips and quite clearly haven’t mastered how to position it yet.

Seeing double ✌🏽 All the extra responsibilities of final year of uni and placement got me trippin 😂 So many people complain of being too busy or time poor when it comes to working out; however I think it’s so important to have at least half an hour to myself every day where I can completely tune out and just focus on myself. Training is about so much more than looking good, it’s about feeling your best and looking after your mental health too 🙏

REAL TALK: The truth is that if you want results it’s hard work and you have to be ready to go way beyond your comfort zone 🔥
Its sometimes hard to show in the videos (especially when I want to film fun workouts and not the parts where I’m truly struggling or about to pass out haha) the effort, sweat and tears that are included in the workouts. When I feel like I want to quit and that my body can’t take it anymore, I always tell myself.. 5 reps more! That’s the way to grow physically and mentally. Don’t be scared to be intense and go in a dark place in your head when you are doing those last reps! Because those are the reps that count the most 💯
