Trying to grow a 🍑? Today was a killer leg day, and these are some of my favourite glute exercises!
I’m always trying to lift as heavy as possible but keep in mind - form and mind/muscle connection is a lot more important than how heavy you can lift!
On my leg days I always make sure to do a warm up and then proper glute activation. It helps target the muscle and make your workouts more effective!
Next leg day give a couple of these a try and you will be feeling it the next day 😳🏋🏼♀️

💓 #MondayMotivation - I WAS TIRED. I wanted to go home & sleep. These past few weeks have been busy & draining my energy! 💡 Nonstop at work, 5 times a week workouts... I’m like NOOOO, I DONT WANT TOOO. 😩 But then I remember why I started, that girl in the mirror is worth it & she will be her healthiest self! Plus I’m starting to feel STRONGER! Back up to 20 pound dumbbells! (I had lost some of my strength training but getting back on track) ... some seasons are rest season... THIS SEASON IS PUSHING ME TO GROW! This is just a set up for my next best season! Finding space to quiet my soul & then go as hard as I can, that’s my goal. Can we agree I look different, because I sure as hell feel different. 💪🏾

Here is an idea of some of the foods and such I buy at the grocery store 🤗. So with that being said let’s talk about NUTRITION & how to achieve your DREAM BODY 🔥💛
Whether it’s to gain some weight or lose some weight, nutrition and exercising is vital !! What you eat and specifically how many calories you eat, is one of the most crucial role in body weight.
If you want to lose weight, reducing the number of calories you consume is most important ‼️HOWEVER‼️ you can’t just reduce your calories and eat the same foods, it doesn’t work like that . You MUST eat nutritional foods such as low calorie foods like leafy green vegetables, and ❌AVOID❌ the high calorie things like white bread, cakes, or any other junk food you can think of. It’s about eating correctly and PROPERLY, not just eating less. ✨
Also what people do not think of is SUGAR !! Sugar is naturally present in many foods for example fruit (which is great bc it is natural), but added sugars are highly refined, these kind of sugars do NOT occur naturally, and are in many and most processed foods. Added sugar is unhealthier than fat and most of us should consume less than 25-30 grams of sugar per day. Added sugar is easily converted to fat. ✨
If you would like to gain weight, healthy weight 🚫not pure fat🚫 exercise becomes an even more important component of your routine. Nutrition, however, still plays a crucial role you must eat more than you would burn when working out. That does not mean ❌eat anything and however much you want❌ and that is how you will achieve your dream body, you would gain actually gain unwanted fat and high levels of abdominal fat. You should still be eating nutritional foods just more of it . ✨
I like to follow the 90/20 rule:
Eat clean and healthy 90% of the time, so you can treat yourself the other 10% of the time of whatever you like. I found that this makes any nutritional lifestyle easier to convert to and to stick to . It just gives you the enjoyment to enjoy the foods you love, but in MODERATION 💛
💪Shoulders! I like incorporating circuits at the end of my workout to give that muscle group a final burnout 🔥🔥 but remember, the majority of your workout should focus on getting stronger in your compound lifts (for shoulder day, this means your overhead presses)
💥 3-4 sets of:
🔸Plate front raise, 10 reps
🔸Front to lat raise, 10 reps
🔸Upright row to shoulder press, 10 reps (the external rotation here is great for building up rotator cuff strength)
🔸Hammer curl to lat raise, 10 reps
✖️Do each exercise back to back to back to back to back to back to murder your shoulders 😈

Feeling cozy on this rainy day in these cute (and affordable) workout clothes that arrived in less than 48 hours from @juniperoakclothing 😍 I was hesitant about pants in this warm weather but they are so lightweight! The humidity is taking its toll on my motivation but luckily I have a 90lb puppy that doesn’t take no for an answer 😅 this week’s goals are: get to the gym at least twice, take the stairs whenever possible, and eat more veggies 🥦🍅
