Spent every day this week working LATE (like really late) and all day today cleaning(just for my kids to follow me and make a mess), all for the best reason ever!
My cousin/best friend is coming to visit us this weekend!!👏🏼
It’s been almost two years since she’s been to our house and to say we’re excited is an understatement. My four year old has asked “is she coming tomorrow?” about 457 times per day since last week. 🤪
We love having visitors and it helps that we live in a place people want to visit! So many fun things to do & see in Charleston.
So...come on down! Be our guest!
Just be ready to answer a bazillion random questions about life, chase a shoe eating baby and fish random objects out of his mouth, and don’t expect to have quiet, personal space, or room to think straight between the hours of 7am and 7pm. Sounds like a great vaca, right?😆 #kidding#kinda
* t i m e f l i e s * I went upstairs to “quickly style the dresser” and I came down an hour later 😬😅 Tell me this happens to other people? I think I need some serious tutelage from @em_henderson!
I don’t feel quite as bad about it because it’s part of my #oneroomchallenge space... but it’s gonna take me 6 months instead of 6 weeks to finish the guest room at this rate! I added this little crafting area so guests can get creative while they’re visiting 😉 Anybody else taking part in the One Room Challenge? Tell me all about your space!

I have a love/hate relationship with working nights. I love the autonomy of night shift; being the facilitator of (attempted) sleep, the watchful eye of 5 or so lives throughout the night when the rest of the hospital is deserted. But I hate how it robs me of sunshine. Today was my first awake-in-the-morning, not-exhausted, make yourself actual breakfast at actual breakfast time AND it’s a beautiful day in months. I took a few minutes to admire the morning light filtering into my guest room. 😎☕️🌞
This oval glass top coffee table was nearly abandoned. My friend gave it to me, too bad I have no picture when the first time it came. After add some support and nail for the loosen leg, I start to paint with solid white color nitrocellulose paint. Then decided to add granite stone pattern on its base. And last spray with high gloss clear coat polyurethane. And now...it is worth to place on my guest room.
