A Sunny day in Scotland is not something to be squandered, yesterday was such a day. This snap was taken from near the top of Goat Fell, a mountain on the Ilse of Arran, Scotland.
Sometime called Scotland in miniature Arran has rugged mountains, cute villages, amazing activities and some of the best beer gardens in the world. :). 🍺
Today was a perfect day for a hike, and I am glad I decided to go to Isle of Arran 🏝️🏔️ I did however underestimate the hike up to Goatfell or overestimate my hiking skills as the trail up to the top of the mountain wasn't as easy as I initially thought (I blame my heavy camera equipment) - the footpaths were very rocky and pretty steep. The views on top though totally made up for the fact that I had to drag my feet to the last ferry 💕🙈
Finished Day 1 and sections 1 and 2 of the #westislandway on the #isleofbute 21 miles done in total, 5 miles were walking section 1 and the rest were on my mountain bike through fields, paths, roads, sandy beaches, moorland, golf course, airfield all in the glorious sunshine. The were fantastic views out to #arran and #goatfell Staying in #butebackpackers hostel tonight and have a room to myself! Tomorrow brings the final section and rain ☔️ #bikepacking#cycletouring#visitscotland
