And now, in the dark of the night, I’m literally crying. I don’t know what kind of magic is this, but I feel like I can touch, see, smell, breath in every note that I hear. This moment is magical. Glenn Gould has always been one of my favorite pianists, but I think that I’ve never fully understood him, until now. Especially, Adagio part, is just perfect. I wish that you could hear what I’m hearing now... #glenngould#classicalmusic#piano#music#more#share#favorite#playlist#saturday#now#listen#perfect#chills

Inside my story collection When We Were Birds are two tales about Glenn Gould. One is a love letter to him in response to a mock personal ad he once wrote, and the other is about townspeople who hold captive someone they believe is Gould. When I was in Toronto last week, I had an interview with the director of the Glenn Gould Foundation, Brian Levine, about my book (which was a real joy) and came away with these new buttons! I also got to sit in a replica of the famous chair. .
