Selamat siang ⛅
Laken picked these noodles out from the Asian section at Jungle Jim's International Market. The ingredients were Mung bean starch, potato starch, and water. So, being gluten free and pretty clean I agreed. Made teriyaki sauce for the chicken and drained the roasted chicken juice/teriyaki sauce into the wok with a touch of sesame seed oil, fresh cilantro, and squeeze of lime to stir fry the noodles, broc, and baby spinach in. The noodles are too high in carb for me but I love that they have a low glycemic index for everyone else and not made with typical gluten free rice/corn ingredients that we try to avoid. I did have a couple of bites and loved how springy, stretchy, and light they are. The boys loved how long they are too. We will call them Laken noodles since he picked them out and I can see making these often. 😊 Its fun to try new items to cook with.
Friends, if you could eat noodles every day without the wheat-laden bloat, would you?
What if I told you that there was a noodle that didn’t have any wheat in it? In fact, what if there was no rice in it? Would you be interested?
Would you believe me if I told you that this noodle is made of sweet potato starch, is naturally gluten-free and vegan?
I would like to introduce you to one of the kids favorite dishes that we make together; Korean glass noodles.
The dish is called Jap Chae, and it’s super versatile because you can use any vegetables you like. You can add meat, chicken or shrimp to it and it’s amazingly satisfying.
During my “noodles of the world“ cooking class, this dish will be one of the star players!
I have never come across a child who hasn’t loved these noodles! Have you had them before?
Great cure for hangovers🙏
