I think this post is important to highlight areas in training that have a massive affect in performance. First vid is a few months ago. PB at 152.5 eating well with enough calories. Second video calorie deficit and carb free for more than 7 days and I couldn’t even lift the bar 2.5kg above PB. Let that be a lessoned learned to me. I like to push myself and try the impossible. How will you ever know if you don’t try right?
Progress photos are gold, and here’s why:
1️⃣ You’re able to view physical change
2️⃣ You provide yourself with evidence
3️⃣ You trigger your brain to push you further forward because your dedication becomes visible to you
4️⃣ It gets put into perspective just how far you’ve brought yourself...
Do you take progress photos? If not, I highly recommend doing so (even if you’re well into your current programming or plan)! I always suggest my clients take progress pictures, as it provides them with fuel. No, not the gas kind, the internal motivation to keep pushing forward once they can actually see their hard work play out. Charge up that iPhone and get to capturing!📸

Put your camera on video mode and move through all of the poses motions (capture your front, sides and back). Then go back to the video and screen shot each frame! Makes like so much easier than using self-timer!🕝

Squat 235 (last warmup) and a miss at 255 / Bench at 145 / 2” deficits at 225 / Blocks at 315
This was certainly not my best squat day. Am I disappointed for missing 255, a weight I can typically hit without trouble? Yes, absolutely. But, I’m not going to dwell. It wasn’t there today, but next time, will be.
I’m stoked about bench moving so well again - today was the most I’d pushed in a while and it moved smooth! And pulls are feeling good, too. Squat will come back. I know it. #8weeksout

Today is a great day. Aced 2 exams and finally got out of a deadlift funk that lasted for 3 weeks! 😁 I’m happy with how 335 moved, considering how 275 was RPE9 when I tried pulling yesterday. #divinestrengthsystem

This is going to offend people and I realize that but it needs to be said.
Right now, I am the healthiest I have ever been; mentally and physically. I am eating QUITE a bit more than any previous cut, my metabolism is literally a machine, and most importantly, I am LISTENING to my body. I told myself and my coaches from the very beginning: if my health starts to decline, I’m done.
This week alone, I have seen numerous posts with girls talking about their declining health and how “x, y, and z” with their body is starting to stop working because they are in prep. Like, hold on now. Have bikini competitions started to offer some sort of prize that I didn’t know about that somehow is more important than your health? I honestly am blown away and not only that, I am angry. Do you realize what message that puts out to other younger girls considering competing? “Oh, well so and so lost her period/her hair/ had digestion issues but that must be a normal part of prep.” Because that is exactly what you’re saying by acknowledging and issue and continuing to hurt your body.
This is not just me being angry towards the bodybuilding industry because not everyone does this and many people see these issues arising and put their health first. But like I keep telling myself, if you really think doing any sort of harm to your body is worth looking better for a group of judges for about 2 minutes total, your physical health isn’t the only thing suffering.
Deadlifts from today. Was aiming for 165x4x3 but as you can see, the second lift in the second video was a fail. After watching the video, I could see my left hip pop back and in, which caused me to fail my 3rd attempt at my meet. Originally I was going to cut that part out of the video because I was frustrated about failing a weight that should be easy. But i left it in to show that even in training not all lifts are going to be perfect. We all have those kind of days. And guess what? It’s okay! It happens! Do-Nut quit on your fitness goals! 🍩🍩🍩 Team, I found a way to make me run faster 😂 I got up to 20 km/hr (didn’t even know it goes that high) and almost tore my hammy. Worth it.
• Squats: Making my previous warm up weight look like max effort (last set, also I did heavy deads yesterday too - is that enough excuses 🤷🏾♀️)
• Bench: 3RM PB (I’m taking any PB where I can)

It’s been a long time since I handled anything more than 110kg and went into this session actually feeling a bit nervous to squat especially when the single was programmed after 9 other sets 💀 Moved fairly okay so I’m pretty happy.
