I would take this moment to say that I’m on a ferry to Wales, but all that I can see is fog. So it is not that exciting. I will say that I had a great time in Ireland, and it really is as beautiful as everyone says it is
I wish it was a bit sunny today. I mean you come on a17 hour flight to look at lady liberty and the Sun God's playing hide and seek 😉! But then such is the beauty and grace of the lady that it's never not possible to get a great pic.
Honest opinions needed - do you ever order food for the photos? 😂 I judge myself for doing this occasionally - but no one orders salted egg yolk dim sum for the taste, surely? These were just one of many new foods I tried in Singapore last week - all my must-trys are in a guide in my bio now 🥘
Dreaming of the way Ubud used to be...
Has anybody revisited a destination and been sorely let down?
This year was my third time to Bali, and I couldn’t believe how drastically one of my favourite places had changed in the past few years.
I will still always adore Ubud, from the monkey first to the flowing, green rice terraces... but I could definitely do without the over commercialisation and touristy gimmick it has become.
Is there anywhere you feel the same about?
This is one of the rare times of my life where I ended up in an AMAZING place that was not on the Lonely Planet (#lifegoals ). I’m staying in a gorgeous beachfront bungalow that is ridiculously cheap, and the snorkeling just 10m from shore is unbelievable. I played with a school of sardines in shallow water, swam on top of some of the healthiest and colorful corals and fish I ever saw and all along I was followed by a tiny yellow and black fish that was dancing around me. And that was not even the dive site I came here for! It was just a quick swim in front of my bungalow! Can’t wait to go to Apo tomorrow. A pity that my diver friends are not here to enjoy.❤️🧜🏻♀️ (Video from my last dive in Panglao, coz I have no underwater camera so I’m just sharing whatever more tekkie divers send me)
Life becomes a beautiful experience when you choose to make it one. Facing fears, putting your happiness first, travelling places with new friends, saying YES YES AND YES again without thinking about the tomorrow/ the bank balance/ the lack of sleep and hangover. Just doing it because it feels right and makes you happy....LIFE is one big flurry of emotions and experiences and interactions. So choose the good ones. Have fun. Be nice. AND ENJOYYY 🙏🏼✌🏼❤️💃🏼 #mondaymotivation#stylelobster#travelobster#LELabroad 📷 @livblankson
I'm feeling the South American vibes hardcore... And there is a big reason for that! [ More on that later 😄] This was taken on the way through the Bolivian mountains and desert circa 2010. I've never seen colours and surreal landscapes like the 5-day jeep ride from Uyuni through the salt flats to the Atacama Desert and border of Chile.
If there is ever a trip you do in your lifetime, this is one of them. Though a note of warning: it's not for the fainthearted or the bony. No running water for five days. One night I slept on a concrete mattress 😂
But if you're prepared to go back to basics for a week for the most amazing and diverse scenery of your life and where Salvador Dali drew inspiration for his paintings, then this, this is your place 🌎🏔️🏜️
