I fancied trying something a little different tonight.... so went for a ramen style bowl! I also could only get it to the first set of hoops the last time I wore it, and now I have it on the third(last) set. So I suppose you can say i've made quite a bit of progress. Hit the gym in my apartment this morning - been actually loving the shitty apartment gym more than Movati? Is that bad🙄 Thinking of cancelling that membership cause $58 a month aint worth it, ya know? I can do this shit at home💪🏻 Time for exams now😒 HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE!

1️⃣If you’re making protein and vegetables the focus of your fat loss diet, it’s hard to go wrong.

Protein not only helps build muscle, but it helps stimulate fat loss as well - mainly through TEF - or the thermic effect of feeding.

More so than carbs or fats, your body will burn calories digesting protein. 
#
Vegetables - for the most part - are extremely low in calories.  By focusing on eating LOTS of them, you will auto-regulate your caloric intake.  You could eat like, a gallon of broccoli and still be way below your calories for the day. 
#
And your 💩will be amazeballs. 
#
2️⃣80/20
#
Most of your are familiar with the Pareto Principle.  The 80/20 rule.  It applies to your diet as well.  You should eat well 80% of the time, but 20% of the time, you can have some treats! 
#
It’s a stress reliever.  Eating perfectly all of the time ain’t gonna happen.  You need meals or occasions during the week where you can eat an unhealthy treat you love.  As long as it’s occasional, it will have a negligible effect on your overall fat loss.

3️⃣Eat Most of Your Carbs Before or After Workouts
#
Now - with your focus on protein and vegetables, you should definitely include some carbs.  Carbs will help fuel your workouts and maintain muscle.  I like going for a piece of fruit 30 minutes before a workout.  As far as rice, bread, and “stickier” carbs, eat most of those within 2-4 hours after your workouts. 
#
4️⃣Shoot for 10-12x Bodyweight in Calories
#
I’ve seen some different numbers for this, but this is a good start for fat loss.  Honestly, though, I don’t have many of my clients count calories.  It’s not sustainable, and there are other methods (habit-based coaching), that have worked well for my clients.

🍪 It’s incredibly common to freak out when you eat something that’s considered off-limits and be slammed with immense guilt and remorse. After all, if you’ve labeled something as “bad,” then obviously you wouldn’t feel so great when you break your own diet rules, right?

At first glance, it seems to make sense. Junk food is devoid of nutrients, so consuming it does nothing positive for your health, and therefore we should eliminate it as much as possible, right? Unfortunately, we’re not robots, and cookies and chocolates are delicious!

This black-and-white thinking, or dichotomous thinking, toward food, has actually been associated with higher incidences of binge eating, weight regain, and yo-yo dieting. You may have noticed with yourself that when you harbor this attitude, you have a harder time maintaining dietary adherence long-term. •
The good news is that one cookie by itself does not ruin a diet. In fact, I’d argue that the ability to enjoy a cookie guilt-free, account for its calories, and move on is an important life skill for maintaining a healthy social life, avoid food neurosis/obsession, and enjoy a high quality of life.

A little bit of junk food consumed in moderation in the context of an otherwise nutrient-dense diet will not negatively impact your health. Cut yourself some slack and allow yourself to indulge every now and then!

And yes, I’m eating out on a diet. I pretty much just add 2 servings of chicken all day to allow for calories for tonight. I saved up 1000 calories for this and a soup starter.
