Hey guys. Part 1 of my assault bike familiarization video. It’s important before jumping on the bike that we know what does what. Having proper seat positioning is extremely important. Making sure that we still have a slight knee bend when pedaling allows us to adjust the seat up and down properly. Moving the seat back focuses the drive of the legs more through the quads compared to the seat forward which will use more of a hamstring dominant movement. Thank you all again for watching. Come see us here @evolve_strength_north and remember that our 30 for 30 deal is still on!!
Smashing out 5 reps of 120 back squat yesterday in the #garagegym .
Weights are going up that would have seemed inconceivable 6 months ago. My back squat has gone from a poor 80kg for 3 reps to a strong 130kg for 3 reps.
How have I done this?
I have given up on my meticulous, verging on ridiculous diet obsession, I have ensured that I have consistently eaten enough calories (without tracking just eating and drinking a lot of calories) to sustain my activity and not put on too much body fat. This has often come from my self-made high calorie shakes. I have been lucky enough to be surrounded by some of the best training partners a man could ask for ensuring that I put in consistent hard work.

The motto here - keep things simple and find a group of people that have the similar goals and spend time getting better with them.
Forget about fad diets, track your calorie intake, (if you need to lose weight or are worried about gaining fat) if you’re looking to gain muscle, eat, eat and eat some more, maybe drink some calories too. Start putting on too much fat? Eat less food.
One machine can do so much! Maximize your time and results by choosing one or two machines or pieces for each workout.
If you don’t have this amazing Fusion CST... you can use a standard cable machine for this workout. ⭐️Keep your core tight with every movement!!! 1️⃣ Lat pull down with knee up
2️⃣ Side plank lat row w knee up
3️⃣ Squatting row (alternating hand angle)
4️⃣ Wood chopper w slow rise circle lunge
5️⃣ Standing ab pulls
6️⃣ Side twists

Dean it’s more like... First workout back from Mexico ain’t easy... but it’s done! (I took “progress” photos yesterday to get my rear back in gear. It’s crazy how your body changes so fast once you’re off track like I was from Mexico. I’ll share those photos later today!) #backontrack#homeiswheretheheartis#garagegym
The clench band handle. .
- easily attaches to loop style resistance bands with a few different attachment points. - gives you the ability to do more exercises and variations not possible with other attachments. - ergonomic and comfortable handle design feels a lot like a dumbbell.
- easily store your bands after your workout by wrapping them around your handles. Works great for travel!
Got it in with thatttt quickness this AM!!🔥💦 tbh I had no intentions on working out this morning. My son was up sick all night 😔 so I was on mommy duties. I even slept through my alarm clock ⏰ and said to myself ehhhh it’s too late to get to the gym. But helllllooooooooooo this is why I have a home gym 🤦🏽♀️ put my workout clothes on and dragged myself out there. Had to cut my workout short - only. 30 min today but ayyye I still got it in! #ProgressNotPerfection always gotta remind myself that 💗 chest and shoulders today and boxing for cardio! Turnnnnn uppppppp for thisss Tuesday fam🤗

Remember all those pec tears this time last year @ regionals. There was nothing wrong with the programming of regionals however it did highlight some programming deficiencies in some athletes. Crossfit typically doesn’t train the chest enough (even push ups are tricep overloaded) You don’t have to train it specifically every week just don’t forget your pecs👍👍👍 #pecs
Really could not be fucked this morning...maybe the lower calories are kicking in. I was also out of my usual routine due to some urgent stuff for work. However after some voodoo flossing on the knees and some plyometrics, I felt ready to wreck shit! The plyos are a permanent addition, will film some soon.
Wanted 10 reps on the TBD and got them. Must cue myself to keep hips down throughout. The widowmaker set afterwards was horrible.
The problem with door-open training is people know you’re there...this is what happens when the postie can’t deliver something to another house mid-pause squats 😁/😖
Hype music from UNKLE. This is one of the greatest albums of all time.
This bloke is something so incredibly special. He constantly inspires me to lift more, push harder and never give up. Almost 4 years ago, he lent up against a balcony railing and it gave way he fell 3m and landed on his neck and shoulder, shattering his spine....literally shattering 4 vertebrae.
He spent the first couple of weeks paralyzed, even today his left side isn't what it was. But he never lets it stop him! As soon as he could shuffle he was racing me down the hospital corridors, he was back at work in 3 months.
Then when he started training with me, he couldn't squat, his back and the surgery on his spine wouldn't let him - and the damage to his left side also meant he couldn't get his left arm back enough to hold the bar. So he grabbed a safety bar and now the crazy bugger squats 200kg only 12months later and has mastered the straight bar.
His left side, especially his grip still struggles at times but he never lets it slow him down. @david.b.stanton and I have made him a verb....when you somehow complete a lift, no matter how hard, how ugly, how long it takes, you just refuse to fail and so you get it up - we say "you just Mitch'd that" - because that's how he does it, he simply decides he's going to achieve something and then does it, no matter what it takes.
In this photo he's hitting an 85kg PR on the logpress - an incredibly feat when you consider only a short time ago he struggled to lift anything above shoulder height.
I can't wait to compete alongside him in his first strongman, the man is an unstoppable force and a truly beautiful human being as well.
Proud to call him my brother in law and always envious of that beard 🤣🤣🤣🤣 #trainhard#progress#motivation#garagegym#fitness#garagegymlife#crossfit#powerlifting#homegym#fitfam#deadlift#garagegymexperiment#workout#garagegymathlete#gym#bodybuilding#physique#weightlifting#strength#strongman#instafit#garagegymlab#strengthtraining#fitnessaddict#garagegyms#garagegymhustle#garagegymfanatics#powerbuilding#rogue#lift
