I want to thank Sherry Durham of the Multicultural Recruitment Program for nominating me for this award. Do you know why we do an after-school program for the Bedouin children in the Negev Desert? Well, first of all, the Israeli government is already providing education for the kids during the morning and early afternoon. However, there is no "after school program" for Bedouin children around the ages of 3-5. That's why our program is perfect for this region! We give students a safe place to land before their parents get home.

We love the idea of a winter formal, but we also love Dance Marathon and raising more money each year #forthekids ! In the past, Valley High School has not held a winter formal due to Dance Marathon and concerns of planning time constraints as well as attendance for both events.
However, we have a solution: we want to hold the formal in January, to ensure these events do not conflict. Any proceeds from ticket sales at the dance would go directly to the Children’s Miracle Network, allowing Valley to impact the miracle kiddos that rely on these funds!
