P R O P / or not to prop? Reaching for your block isn’t cheating, it’s simply utilising tools to better your Yoga experience! Props can be used for support, to cushion, to move deeper, to reduce intensity, to extend, strengthen, release or relax.... Choose your own adventure. 💛☺️✌️
You use your wrists *every* day.
Chances are they're tight, and they're not getting looser on their own. If you use them more intentionally, like training, typing, writing, playing instruments, etc., they'll start nagging you for a bit more attention.
If you're interested in taking care of them (which you are), try these exercises. About 10-15 slow and easy reps each, it'll take you all of 2 minutes. Keep your arms straight, and gradually increase the weight you put into the reps.
Like any loaded warm-up or stretch, they might be uncomfortable at first, but they'll feel better with time. Your wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck (yes, they're all connected), and everything in between will thank you.
Progression #3 : working on putting everything together. The footing on the first part threw me off a lot and I still couldn't manage to throw on the first swing, but it'll get there. Check back in tomorrow for the semi-successful completed line 👌🤷🏼♀️🦄❤️
