Here at NFLT we love Earth Day. 🌎
Do you know why Earth Day is celebrated? Here are some fun facts about it:
~The first Earth Day was celebrated on April 22, 1970.
On the very first Earth Day, 20 million people gathered in the streets of America to protest the industrial revolution. ~An environmental movement was born as a result.
~Earth Day originated in the US but became recognized worldwide by 1990. ~Every year on April 22, men, women, and children collect garbage, plant trees, clean up coral reefs, show movies, sign petitions, and plan for a better future for our planet.
So go outside and celebrate nature today! #EarthDay#optoutside
Happy Earth Day, explorers! Take time today to honor our planet by taking a hike, going for a paddle, or planting a tree. Discuss with you family and friends small ways that you can go green in your daily life. Get a reusable water bottle, decide to recycle, share rides to work or organize a neighborhood clean up day. Be creative and start caring for this awesome world we call home! 🌎♥️🌱
