FRI-nally, it’s Friday! Here’s a refreshing Old Crystal Rum lime daiquiri with @OldNewOrleans. Their Old Crystal Rum will have a molasses forward sweetness with a clean body and grassy notes on the finish. Cheers!
• 2 oz. Old Crystal Rum
• 1 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
• ½ oz. simple syrup (1:1 ratio)
• Garnish with lime slices
Shake and strain!
Happy Friday, everyone! And if you’re in the US, happy long weekend! I’m slowly working on writing that cocktail guide for summer. It’s harder than I expected! I’m only including recipes that I actually like - & actually drink in the summertime - which means there are no frilly, umbrella-covered, overly-sweet, fruity drinks. But rather those with complex flavour profiles built on sophisticated base spirits, which are still light & perfectly refreshing on a summer afternoon... But maybe I’m overthinking this whole thing. Tell me, what kind of cocktails do you crave when it’s hot out? In any case, my lavender is blooming, so today I made Lavender Martinis. Here’s the recipe:
1.5 oz. French vodka
0.75 oz. vanilla liqueur
0.5 oz. fresh lemon juice
0.5 oz. lavender simple syrup
Shake it all with ice & garnish with a sprig of fresh lavender. (P.s. The recipe for the lavender syrup is in today’s IG story). 💜 #cheers#martinifriday#liqpic#thirsty
Holiday Weekend, Y'all!! This is my cocktail plan: drink lots of them. Specifically, this Pink Senorita by @supermancooks -- 2 ozTequila | 4 oz Pink Grapefruit Juice | 1 oz Simple Syrup | Splash of Cranberry Juice | Fresh Mint -- Smash it all up and enjoy!
