I eat similar breakfasts and snacks essentially, (eggs and veggies in the morning, protein shake in the afternoon and some small treat before bedtime, like dark chocolate or peanuts), so, here are the main 2 meals for today.
Lunch: salad greens with casserole of meat and diced potatoes in mexican style salsa, a Tbsp of sour cream and grilled cheese on top 😎
Dinner: 2 open sandwiches, with #oroweat
thins, mustard, a slice of cheddar, lettuce and turkey ham, with sour cream and pepper on top.

Cardio. I used to do cardio until the cows came home. As I'm getting older, my motivation to do a lengthy cardio session had decreased a lot--especially this year. The cardio session was only 20 minutes tonight: rowing 5 minutes, bike 15 minutes; both at 80% effort level.
I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately. Things I've noticed more this year:
▪recovery takes longer
▪lower aerobic threshold
▪more injury prone
So what might have contributed to all of this? The reality is, I'm 47 years old. In my mind, I still think I'm in my 20s, but my physical body has been telling me I'm not that young stallion anymore (never was 😁). It's time for a reality check. I've realized that I need to pull back a little; continue to do the things I do but be more careful; taking less risks; reduce my training volume.
Has any of you noticed changes in your energy, motivation, performance, etc (assuming you're still under 30 year old!)?
Pedro saw the sun and I found my list of 43 things. What kind of “things” you may ask? Just things to do to be badass. 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀. Finishing up laundry and thought it was the perfect opportunity to try the latest grip challenge @ocrbeast.co @captainkaufmann. I have been asked often how I stay so motivated. How I have continued to show up no matter what and why I continue to show up. I am going to be honest with you...being a Mom is tough and keeping myself motivated to stay in shape, eat healthy all while raising little humans is really tough! Some days it feels like no matter how well I plan and prep and make lists and schedule all things needing to be done there still aren’t enough hours in the day.
We all have those moments or let’s be honest those days even weeks (keeping it real 😬), but that doesn’t mean we just throw in the towel and give up. For me it’s all about my WHY! My WHY is what drives me on the days and times when I truly feel overwhelmed or can’t seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It’s why I strive to push daily to live my life to the fullest and own the day and not let the day own me! We owe it to ourselves and our families to be the healthiest and happiest 🌞 we can be, don’t we?!!!
STOP putting yourself at the bottom of your priority list and putting everyone before you! Life is too short and to live it to the fullest you have to put YOU first! You can’t fill from an empty cup. It’s time to be the Mother, the Wife, the Daughter, the CEO, the person YOU are meant to be!!!
