A little throwback today.  Everyone has a story but it is about how you become better then you were before.  In life well things happen and you fall into the water and lose yourself.  That is ok.  If you find the strength to not stay there.  I stayed there for a while and physically lost sight of myself because I no longer cared about how I looked.  I was lost, hurt and I gave up on myself physically.  I never lost myself mentally as I’ll always carry the heart I carry and be to people I care the most about, but now it’s time I swim out of the water in which I fell in.  Some days looking at myself in the mirror I asked why?  Why did I let things take away from me one thing I always was so diligently working to be and I don’t even recognize myself some days. It’s ok though.  You can fall and lose yourself but it’s how you get and and become better then you were before is what matters.  It’s time to get back to being the best version of myself both mentally and physically.  There are no more excuses and I cannot wait to come better even better than before to be the best me to someone.

AB BURNOUT‼️🔥 First and foremost, abs ARE made in the kitchen🍠🥑🍌🍎🥒 Once you’ve got your nutrition on point, you will already be able to see results without even trying. You can supplement with abdominal exercises to strengthen your core and get those defined lines🙌🏼 You can do all the crunches and sit ups you want, but the cold hard truth is that you must be eating nutrient dense foods in order to get results. Make sure while doing these exercises you are pulling your belly button into your spine, keeping your lower back glued to the bench and don’t forget to keep breathing during the reps. These exercises will target your whole core, with an emphasis on the lower abs/stubborn pouch. I like to add these exercises to the end of my workouts about twice a week as a burnout🏋🏽‍♀️ Try each exercise for 45 seconds and rest for 15 seconds. After completing one round of the 3 exercises, rest for 60 seconds. Repeat the circuit 3-4x😘

The face of pure concentration when trying to make sure my camera focuses😶 I’m obviously still loving my @tropeaka powders! REST DAYS💆🏽❤️ Rest days are truly so important because they give your muscles an opportunity to recover and repair themselves. Just like our minds need a break from any stress or chaos happening in our day to day lives, so do our muscles!! Taking a day off from working your muscles gives your body a chance to relax, refuel and recoup. By taking a rest day, you're preparing yourself mentally and physically for the days ahead-- so you know you'll have the complete strength and energy necessary for giving it your all during your workouts!! 🏋🏽‍♀️ #restday #recover #refuel

Plyometric HIIT💃🏽
Lately I've been focusing more on my lower body because I feel like I'm a lot stronger in my upper body, but that's also because I absolutely love upper body exercises🙂 One thing I would like to point out is that you don't need a gym membership to do the workouts I've been sharing! I think it's very important to realize you can still be active outside of the gym, and that's one of the reasons I've loved adapting to this style of training that my body and mind reacts best with.
For this workout, if you REALLY want to push yourself and break a sweat, try doing it outside in Texas' 96° weather😅 *3 Round Circuit: do the first three exercises for 30 seconds each:
-jumping knee tucks
-switch lunges
-skaters
Repeat 3x, rest 1 minute after completing all 3 rounds. Do the last three exercises for 30 seconds each:
-plank jacks
-single leg toe touch (each leg)
-isometric glute bridge 
Repeat 3x
➡️On the single leg toe touches- make sure you're standing back up through the heel of your supporting leg, so you can fully activate your hamstring and glute muscles!! #plyometrics #hiit #workout

A question I see being asked a lot is, "how can I stay motivated?" Whether it's staying motivated to eat a healthy and nourishing diet, or staying motivated to go to the gym, motivation can be difficult to find sometimes. Here are some ways that personally kept my motivation on track: it helped me a lot to find healthy alternatives to my favorite junk foods. So if I was craving cookies or a donut I could usually fix those cravings with something like dark chocolate, dates with peanut butter, or even find a healthy version of cookies/donuts I could bake myself! I'll post plenty of healthy dessert recipes as well, because trust me, I have the BIGGEST sweet tooth ever!!!! It's motivating also to remember that feeling you get AFTER a workout, because the feeling after is incredible!! It's really good to change up your workouts and keep them exciting so you don't get bored and plateau. You can also do the same with what you eat and recipes!! If you are a goal-oriented person it could also be helpful to set little goals and rewards for yourself along the way! It helped me to literally picture myself feeling so confident and content in my own body, as well as FEELING amazing on the inside. If I was unable to do a certain workout, that was motivating for me because I wanted to push and challenge myself to eventually obtain the strength to complete the workout-- because noticing yourself becoming physically and mentally stronger is by far the biggest incentive ever!!

I wanted to share some about my style of exercise before posting any work outs-- I typically stick to functional training, which for me is mostly plyometrics, hiit and tabata workouts. That simply means I use my body weight for everything, so I'm usually doing movements like push ups, burpees, squat jumps, switch lunges etc. Anything that gets your heart rate up but will also build strength!! I like my workouts to be fairly short, so I'm not at the gym for more than an hour. The main goal I set for myself while working out is doing high intensity movements that spike my heart rate in short time intervals (HIIT- high intensity interval training). I also do not do any weight training, but on a side note- I highly recommend working with different styles of exercise because everyone's body is different, and what works for one person could totally not work for someone else. I think trial and error is very important because that's what got me to discovering what style of training my body reacts best with, as well as the style of training I truly enjoy so so much and actually look forward to doing every morning when I wake up!! I hope this is helpful and makes sense, I'm usually not the best at explaining, but if anyone has questions please please feel free to ask me anything!!!
