We are proud to introduce a new series 💕of Yemeni 🇾🇪 Coffees 🍒 which is from @PortOfMokha 🛶 by @Mokhtar_Alkhanshali who discovered 🔎treasures of coffee in Yemen.
As Yemeni coffee has a solid record of 150 years old where it was an exclusive supplier to the entire world 🌍 via Port of Mokha. Therefore, Mokhtar was inspired ✨ to sustain the value of Yemeni Coffees by organizing farmers into collectives with the requirement of on-boarding women as well.
At a further extended efforts 💪🏼, he concentrated his efforts to solve farmers challenges, enhance their skills in coffee by conducting several trainings and successfully brought them the first moisture analyzers in Yemen along with building modern drying beds.
Moreover, Yemen’s unique microclimate and high elevation yielded ⛰ in complex coffee flavours so @TheEspressoLab 🔬 founder @Almallouhi has chosen Al Jabal from Udaini Varietal where coffee trees are grown at 2150-2350 masl. The followed process is the Sun-dried Natural in raised drying beds.
While profiling these beautiful green coffee beans, our senses were awaked with a delightful aroma of dark chocolate 🍫 and the tasting notes were formed in complex tropical mango fruit and citrus zest; whereas after taste notes were brighter in molasses and tangerine.
