Welcome aboard Larry! Larry just joined our lab staff, printing on RAY - the name we have given to our 30 year old RA-4 printing machine. Larry and RAY are bonding quickly, so we wanted you to know who to thank the next time you are enjoying those fine, optical prints from your 120, 126, 127 or Spy Films. Odds are, Larry’s keen eye has played a role in their making.⠀
Larry's background, meanwhile, goes way back. He was a photographer in the Navy in the late 1970's. We asked him if he used a Topcon at all, since we know the Navy widely used those cameras at the time. Larry's response was a chuckle and the comment, "You mean SLOPcon?" When he left the Navy, he pursued a career in technical large format printing, so he comes in to our lab with a highly experienced eye. ⠀
We asked him to bring in his favorite camera for this post and he obliged with this Zeiss Ikon Ikonta 523/16.
