Dark Chocolate Belgian Brownie Bites: “Joie de vivre,” the term that means joy of living, is a commonly used expression that represents the French approach to daily life. It means finding the happiness in the present circumstances; slowing down to savor a meal or disconnecting from technology after work. Joie de vivre gives us permission to enjoy the process, a glass of wine with dinner and a bite of chocolat for dessert. “[French] culture delights in elegance, sensuality, quality and form: the exquisite hand-stitching on the haute-couture dress; the immaculately glazed tartes aux framboises lined up in the pâtisserie window. The aesthetics of daily life, the art de vivre, remains a source of both grand gestures and small stolen pleasures.” Today, those small stolen pleasures appeared in the form of rich dark chocolate brownie bites. #Repost @makeandtaste with @get_repost

Why is it such a big deal that the NFL players want to kneel during the anthem? The NHL doesn't even show the anthem on tv unless it's the playoffs, the MLB doesn't show the anthem unless it's a special event, I don't watch the NBA, but I don't remember televised anthems. And now they're going to get fined if they don't stand, but they have the choice to not be on the field for the anthem? At least they're on the field in general. Let them kneel. Let them have some freedom of speech. It's not even a knock on the flag, or country. It's a protest against the treatment of minorities in this country, which I agree, has been fucked up for a long time. So, they made a movement and now big corporate NFL is saying no more? Why do they even need to show the anthem? It's all such bullshit. All part of money and ratings and people getting butthurt. Yea, I get that Kaep isn't playing right now, but at least he voiced his opinion, as loud or silent as you interpreted. #NFL#1stAmendment#FreedomOfSpeech#FreedomOfWhat#StandWithKaepernick#IDontCareIfThisPostOffendsYou#Opinions#LetThemDoWhatTheyWant#FightForYourRight#Rant#RogerGoodellSucks#MoneyMoney
There's a lot to smile about.
In May, we celebrate our Asian Pacific American sisters and brothers for #APAHM .
Fact: It's been 25 years since The Joy Luck Club -- the last major Hollywood film with an all Asian-American cast and now we've got @crazyrichasians to look forward to. We say we're just getting started.
