"In my childhood I led the life of a sage, when I grew up I started climbing trees."
- Philip Roth, The Ghost Writer (March 19, 1933 - May 22, 2018)
* Do you have a Philip Roth fav novel? Which is it?
It’s quite obvious to fall for her use of color when visiting Gabriele Münter’s extensive retrospective at @louisianamuseum - but what I actually enjoyed the most is her interest for variations on a theme and her passion for children’s drawings, that she often included in her paintings like in a set of Chinese boxes.
Münter was at the forefront of the Munich avant-garde and a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter in 1911 - yet her contribution to history of art has not been widely acknowledged and often limited to her relationship with Wassily Kandinsky.

I’ve had an amazing time catching up with my beautiful friend from across the pond @wayofnaturewayofgrace 💕 we’ve giggled, gossiped and taken some snaps- shout out to those friendships that distance doesn’t change 👌
I really like this first picture of me. It’s super easily made with an app that pulls you swiftly through a whole make up range. Makes the eyes slightly bigger, skin better. Yeah, it’s easy to like oneself that way. Even easier to suspect that IS what a female musician is supposed to post as a picture on here. If a woman is without makeup (which I am quite often), she is called brave. Um, duh?! There’s nothing brave about it. It’s called nature. Am I a better musician because I’m all fancied up? Certainly not. Happiness and beauty come from a place within. I don’t say we should condemn makeup. Do whatever you want for yourself. So, I’m posting both. Cause they’re BOTH me, the second picture even more cause I still can’t for the love of god figure out what contouring is. Or the point in highlighting. 🤷🏻♀️ #womeninmusic#berlinmusician#singersongwriter#happymakesbeauty#femaleartist#breakthestandard#beauty Ps: the only thing I’ve put on my face today is sun lotion people. Cause it’s freaking hot in town. 😎
'' My First Day At Bondi Beach '' Art in my house 🐟
Acrylic on board size 70/35 cm
Who hasn't heard of Bondi Beach, well i haven't before i set out to travel the other side of the world ? Arriving in Sydney, pinching myself to belive i made it, i met Rick at the Youth Hostel at King's Cross. The little wizzy Kiwi guy who took me surfing to Bondi beach, me, wo never had tried to stand on a board, let alone on wobbeling waves ! I tried my best to crawl onto the slippery surf to slide back the other side, when i heard two helicopers hovering over us. They shouted thru megaphones and a wave of panic took hold of everyone in the water. People started to scream, paddle and run as fast as they could back to the shore. I didn't grasp the Aussie slang but boy i crawled back in high speed with the damn surfboard in tow. The lifeguards in their funny bonnets were on high alert, waving madly at swimmers to reach the beach. Welcome to Australia was my first thought! Nobody got eaten alive that day ...
