On 19 March, the feast day of San Giuseppe, italians celebrate St. Joseph as the foster father of Jesus and all fathers across the country—it’s Italian Father’s Day. Another integral part of the Festa di San Giuseppe in Napoli are zeppole, delicious pastries. A simple cream puff dough is cut with special scissors and then made into rings with a hole in the center, which are fried in boiling hot oil. After being fried the rings are decorated with cream and rasberries and covered with icing sugar.
