Our little girl “Miss Matilda” is growing very quickly & cheekier by the day. Looking forward to the new lot of campers coming soon to bottle feed & see her & the rest of the animals....She’s enjoying her walks with the dogs lol & the beautiful fresh green grass that’s starting to come through. Perfect timing for a great start to her life...#SunnyAcresFarm#spoiltgirl#walktime#grazingtime#farmlife#lovinglife#akelpielife
2 and a half weeks ago 1 of our barn cats Mustache, had kittens. 2 days ago another 1 of our barn cats Minnie, had kittens. Minnie had a rough time with birth and I honestly didn't know if she was going to live to see them. She had 3, 2 died. The kitten that survived is very small and obviously being the only 1, struggles to stay warm when Minnie is out having alone time. Mustaches babies are on the plumper side and it seemed that she was having trouble keeping up with their needs. I came into the shed tonight to check on them and I saw this... all 5 baby kittens (a 2 day old and 4 2 week olds) and 2 mummies all cwtched up sharing the duties ❤ These 2 cats don't always see eye to eye... but this.. ❤ 2 mummas helping each other out and purring the whole time! #Love#BlessThem#Kittens#BarnCats#Cats#HelpingEachOther#BeLikeTheseMummas#LoveOneAnother#FarmLife#Animals
Our borage is blooming, but where are the bees? 🐝 When we were working on farms in New Zealand, this flower was on every farm we visited. We always noticed it and decided it was a good idea to plant it in our garden. One difference is ours isn’t filled with honey bees yet, where are they? 🐝 #borage#bees#firsttimegardener
Y’all, growing your own food is SO COOL! We literally picked elements of our next few meals from our own backyard tonight! The quality of these veggies is noticeably different than the ones we buy from the grocery store! I am so happy!
Someone recently asked me the inspiration behind my feed and this picture sums it up! Encouraging others to not only eat nutritious foods, but to also document my journey as I learn to grow these healthy foods for my family is the main goal behind my feed. I am so thankful to my followers for reaching out to me and encouraging me along the way! We’re only getting started! If a simple girl like me can grow veggies and raise chickens to provide food for our family, you can too!
