작년 6월 대회 전날. 그리고 현재.
유산소 타는 중인데 날이 너무 좋다.
그래서인지 사람 한명이 없는듯...?
나도 사람인지라, 매일 두번씩 하는 운동
힘들고 피곤해서 하기 싫은 날도 많고,
뭐하고 있지 라는 생각이 종종 든다ㅋㅋ
그와 동시에 교차하는 생각은 내가 멋있다고
생각했던 운동 선수들 역시 이런 과정을 수없이 많이 겪었겠구나 생각이 든다.
뭐, 운동 선수 뿐만 그럴까, 운동 외에 다른 분야도 마찬가지다.
즐기고 싶은 것 참고, 먹고 싶은 것 참고,
부상 부위 아픈 거 참고.
새삼 다시 한번 존경을 표하게 된다.
그렇게 노력했기에 그들 역시 목표에 도달했지 않을까.
내가 하는 건 아직 아무것도 아니구나.
변화하는데에는 이유가 있다.
더 노력해야겠다. 아직 멀었다.
You know, I could have easily passed on my run today. Long work day, busy schedule, meal prep, shower, errands- whatever it may be, I could have decided to make a number of excuses to pass on my workout tonight. Instead, I got 5 miles in at my best time in a long time, 15k steps, 2,200 calories burned, AND DIDN'T MISS THIS KICKASS SUNSET. 100% worth the effort of making time 👌🏽🌄 💪🏽
I'll tell you what, Miami Vices are delicious but certainly don't fit in those macros very well 😂 body feels gross after vacation, came home with super swollen feet. 😩 it was worth it to take a break from training and dieting- I ate relatively well while away and splurged from time to time- but that's what vacations are for 🤷🏼♀️ right? This doesn’t mean if you eat a bunch of protein you’re going to lose weight. The laws of thermodynamics still apply. You must be in a caloric deficit to lose weight. But eating .8 - 1.2g of protein per lbs of body weight is a great range to keep in mind.

Place a light-moderate band around your wrists and a medium-heavy band around your mid foot. (Keeping toes pointed up)
I love incorporating resistance bands into all of MY warmups and I recommend my clients do the same..
What are some areas YOU struggle to get engaged or lack strength in during exercise?
This Thursday I’m thankful for the gift of swimming..For me it comes so naturally but some people spend years trying to master the art of it.
What athletic activity do YOU feel most in tune with? And what challenges YOU the most?
For me I feel weightless in the water but feel like a T-Rex when I run! I’ve learned to love running but it challenges me tremendously!
