After a busy Saturday, we headed off on a very gloomy Kinglake ride this morning. It was a sample of the sort of weather we’ll be getting used to for the next few months 🙄. I rode through some big piles of leaves on the way home, because Autumn is great, and I’d like it to stay a little longer. 🍂🍁🍂
Side note: disc brakes 🤤
I could not be happier with how my bike turned out after finally getting the (impossible) hard to find discontinued @supacaz tdf print bartape.
I found a shop in Germany that had it but want stupid money for it and shipping. But my buddy found it in Canada @cycle.life the guys up at cycle life could not have been more awesome. The website would not let me order and ship to the USA but I called and they hooked me up. And then brought it over to my buds @calbikelajolla to make sure it was wrapped perfect out of the gate. Kevin did great! Check it out!
Amazing ride today with @ej.perkins_ @calbikesquad and Dave & @heccasbal from pedal pushers. Fun group, some easy pace, some quick pace for 50mi.
Oh and I wore ( @assosofswitzerland ) Jersey with the union Jack while wearning my gcncc founders socks! #gcncc to celebrate the big wedding today to an American!

Viper Conquered -Finally after 3-4 years maybe, I decided to conquer this old DH trail. It was nice on certain sections, but stayed back to dissect the path and give myself a lot of pictorial memories so when I return I can bomb it even harder. As some may not know, this once glorious single track was one of the fastest double diamond trails in so-cal for a long time, but after numerous wild fires, hiking groups changing the trail patterns, and most of all no direction with it. It became lost and unused for a long time. What made it worst was they bulldozed it down when we had the last Sand Canyon fire. So for the past 2 years it was a flat truck trail that lost its fame. It still needs a lot of work and maintenance to make it what it was before or better. But it was worth the try today. 😎
