Pretty excited about the redevelopment of the old General Electric Campus — which has been renamed: “Electric Works,” and earned national attention in both the Huffington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. ✨
"The project, budgeted for $440 million in a mix of public and private funds, will have part of its 39 acres complete and ready for leasing in 2020, but it will take almost a decade to completely overhaul the entire factory space that made motors and transformers for GE.” (via ‘Today: An Abandoned GE Factory. Tomorrow: Hip Lofts’ in the WSJ) (📸 @tonyfrantz) #FortWayne#dtfw @ElectricworksFW
Just a few photos from today’s photography tour @electricworksfw! I have been wanting to get in that building for a long time! And thanks to @therealporchmoon for helping to make that happen!
For so many years I have wanted to tour the old GE Campus and got that opportunity yesterday! So many rooms to explore, I could have spent days in these buildings. It was so awesome to capture a big piece of our cities history and I'm so excited to see what's in store for its future as @electricworksfw!
Tune in to WFFT Fox 55 to catch local celebrity (and Ferguson PR Director) Kevin Erb discuss the development of the former GE campus and the soon-to-be Electric Works. 🏙📽🌇
