Ended my weekend off strong by making a quiche this morning! I love having time to cook 🙌🏻 I used my regular pie crust recipe and threw in fresh thyme, oregano, and rosemary from the garden. Then I made the filling with caramelized onions, sautéed mushroom, roasted garlic, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh herbs, and a hint of mustard and coriander 👌🏻

When we eat we are doing 1 of 2....fighting disease or fueling it. .
There are SOOO many medications on the market for anything and everything. But before you run to the doctor to seek treatment, consider first how you are fueling your body.
Here are 3 simple tips to start with:
1. Drink more water 💦! A good number is the drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water each day. So if you weigh 150 pounds, aim to drink 75 ounces of water daily. But if you really want to make sure you are staying hydrated, check the color of your urine. Sorry if that’s TMI for you! Your urine should be very light to clear if you are staying well hydrated.
2. Eat more veggies 🌶 🍅 🥒 ! They are good for you and will help to fill you up so you are not over eating on the not so good stuff.
3. Cut out high fructose corn syrup!!! This is a BIG one! I challenge you to check your pantry right now and see how many foods you buy that contain high fructose corn syrup. If it’s processed, good chance it contains high fructose corn syrup. High fructose corn syrup is the cause of many gut related symptoms, bloating, gas, abdominal pain... I hope these are helpful! But I do just want to share, I want you to try it. Pick one to start with this week and add another each week. You don’t have to totally transform you diet in one day. Start small knowing the power of the compound effect is STRONG!

If you scroll through my feed you'll notice I eat a lot of eggs. I didn't even notice this until I did an elimination diet and couldn't eat them for 21 days. It was by far the food I missed most. It's funny that it took eliminating eggs for me to truly realize my love for them. As the age old saying goes...absence makes the heart grow fonder.
So here you have the epitome of my breakfast perfection. I could eat this every damn day!
