It's raining, there are no trams and no taxis. I'm wearing ballet pumps and I'm loaded down with food shopping. Instead of getting wetter and more depressed I took myself for dinner and wine at @phorestaurant and so far I'm not regretting it.... so long as my Dairy Free @benandjerrysuk doesn't melt and go wierd while I'm in here as never tried it before and I was really excited! Anyway, you're looking at DELICIOUS SPONGEY TOFU CA-RI WITH MUSHROOMS, COURGETTE, PEPPERS, CARROT, CHERRY TOMATOES & SPRING ONION IN A RICH WARM AND SPICY COCONUT SAUCE TOPPED WITH ROASTED PEANUTS, RICE AND A CHENIN BLANC 😍
Nice hearty breakfast, I feel now I have started liking avocados I have opened myself up to a whole world of new things 😍 I’m becoming a little obsessed but on toast with fresh chilli it’s just delicious 😋 if anyone has any favourite avocado recipes and wants to share some please feel free to do so 🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑🥑
Happiness on a plate 💚🧡❤️
Healthy eating does not need to be boring, and I feel sad when people view eating well as a chore or a form of ‘diet’. Being healthy does not mean living off no carbs, salads and soups/juice cleanses 🙅♀️ The moment you fall in love with good food and create healthy habits is when you will naturally see results. I have been there trying desperately to loose a few pounds, yet it has been most effortless when I haven’t been fixating on it at all, but simply moving more and eating foods that nourish my body. When I eat well, my body thrives and it makes me feel good inside and out! Don’t get me wrong I am partial to a doughnut or three 🤣 and I always allow myself foods like this which I love into my week as that’s good for the soul too 💁♀️I am now off to make the most of this London sun (while it lasts) and have a picnic in the park! #healthyhabits#nourishyoursoul#eatyourselfwell
It's the weekend and I'm off to London! Not been home in a few months so it will be lovely to catch up with some friends and especially see my Godson who just started walking!! 🤗 AND ... super excited about my very first trip to the @deliciouslyella Deli for some yummy food!! Boom!
One of the top questions I get asked is what diet do I follow.
The truth is I don’t follow a diet!
I don’t count calories or macros or even weigh my food.
Totally appreciate this works for many but for me I shy away from more obsession with numbers.
I also don’t have the spare time to be this particular.
I will plug my food into @myfitnesspal once every few months when my coach wants to check or if a change is needed to reach goals.
But generally I know what feels right for me.
And my guesstimate is not far off when I check.
My diet is based on whole food.
So fresh from the farm,
is alive or was alive recently,
minimal cooking on veggies so as raw as possible, (stir fried or steamed only)
protein with every meal,
5-7 meals a day
Next to no processed, man-made pretend food in a box, packet, jar, can etc.
I also don’t use a microwave. I don’t even own one.
Many called me obsessed..
I prefer passionate!!
But this diet is a MAJOR factor in my recovery from depression.
It also fuels my never ending energy,
My bikini bod,
My youthful, healthy skin
I never get sick
And I seriously feel amazing!!
Every single day!!!
No supplement can do for you what fresh, whole food can.
I have this amount of veggies every night!!
And I have salad with lunch.
Eat the rainbow and you can’t go wrong!!

Tonight it’s all about period-friendly & blood nourishing food. I had no idea you should eat salmon when on your period (I’ve just never really cared about researching that until recently). Greens are too. Aubergine is perfect for you early on in your new cycle. I marinated the salmon , before pan-frying it, in turmeric, olive oil & 🍋 ~ served on a bed of veg, including baked tomatoes (great for the Mr’s sperm) & wholewheat couscous. Yummy 🖤🙌🏻 #fertilitydiet#pcosdiet#ivfdiet#fertile#eatwell#eatyourselfwell#dinnerideas#ttc#ttcjourney#livewell#salmon
I know how hard it is to keep our littles healthy. As a mother of four and a health conscious person I know that keeping them healthy is less about germ prevention and more about making sure that they are exposed to healthy foods, outdoors, animals and good bacteria. 🥦
In addition to supporting families as a student midwife and doula, I will graduate in December 2018 with a Bachelor's in Complementary and Alternative Health and Medicine. I have extensive knowledge regarding holistic care, exercise and nutrition, alternative health methods, herbs, and natural medicines. 🍅
I remember a time when all I was really concerned with was keeping my children germ free by covering their hands with antibacterial and spraying my house down with clorox and lysol! I cannot believe that I even believed that to be the center of health!
Keeping our families healthy has everything to do with making sure that their bodies have everything they need to have a strong immune system. When their immune system is strong, their body will defend them against illness and/or recovery quickly from bugs. This is how we make their active and passive immunity stronger for their rest of their lives.
What a difference some ☀️ makes! So happy to be outside and moving. And before anyone mentions it the wee bald man with the mullet did have a hat on till he threw it off 3 times in a row. Our lovely sunny stroll then became more like a scene from Entrapment as I tried to dodge all beams of sun, hoping between patches of shade 😎
Exercise doesn't have to be in a gym or using expensive equipment. A three mile yomp up some hills today got my heart rate up and lifted my mood no end. I love finally being static in one place (8 moves in 10 years) and seeing the landscapes change as the weather does #lovepainswick#keltykidsbackpack#personaltrainer#nohatbadmum#home
Came across these jumbo olives 💚
The difference between green olives & black olives is ripeness. Unripe olives are green, ripe olives are black.
Olives are cured or pickled before consumption, using methods such as; oil, water, brine, dry and lye.
Olives have high amounts of good monounsaturated fat and also rich in iron, copper, vitamin E, polyphenols and flavonoids (antioxidants). #olives#eatyourselfwell#healthcoach#iatewhat#healthyfats#foodismedicine#markets
Yum yum 😋 My Athlete 12 Group are really getting to grips with their nutrition. They have been enjoying a wider range of foods through their day and are now noticing amazing results in energy, fat loss and glow! I love peas, steamed in a splash of bone broth with leaks and broccoli and a handful of spinach. After 6 hours of coaching yesterday I woke up ravenous, this hits the spot. #breakfast#athlete12#smartcarbs#eatarainbow#eatyourselfwell#peas#bacon#egg
Came to a lovely little coffee shop in town for coffee and breakfast with my dad and sister and had smashed avocado chilli and vile ripened tomato on toast and it was absolutely delicious there is no vegan choices in Northallerton so this is amazing absolutely loved it #central_coffee_ ☕️ 🥑 🍅 🌶 🍞
POM. This will forever be in my shopping basket to kick-start my cycle ~ Today I enter DAY 2 of my NATURAL cycle! (Well for my PCOS & to prep for my #ivfjourney I am@taking metformin alongside my fertility menu. 100% pomegranate juice. I won’t lie to myself - it’s far too sweet for my taste buds & wine is dearly missed right now. But. I thought I’d try it this week, along with pineapple, turmeric & lots of abdominal massage. hot baths & a great avupuncture session, I have entered day 2 of my next cycle this morning 🙌🏻💕🙏. I also put it down to my new supplements too 👊🏻. After having had very scanty cycles, some topping 100 days over the past year, my cycle last month was 36.5 days. Yesterday morning I felt tearful. I thought I’d had enough of #ivf research & fearful thoughts. Really, it transpires that I must have been a tad hormonal. Period cramping has never made me smile & feel this content EVER!
