Working on more natural styling and integrating it into my life versus heavy staging. I made these smoothies for and took this picture in less than 15 minutes (clean up included) and I'm pretty happy with how they turned out! Smoothie ingredients: blueberries, spring mix organic greens, bananas, strawberries, bee pollen, plant protein powder, hemp protein, almond butter & topped with coconut cream, blueberries and fresh rosemary.

Another epic plant based food spot here in Ubud is @seedsoflifebali this time I savored their spicy Buffalo wings, Aloe Vera sashimi plate, warmed gnocchi’s with Gorgonzola blue cheese flavors, and my all time favorite SOL (seeds of life) bowl with everything from the so(u)l. 🙏🧡 -

I️m not a fan🙅♀️of prepping all my meals for the week because I enjoy eating hot dinners. BUT☝🏼 I am a big fan of prepping salads for lunch for the week to save time and moolah💸 this all took about an hour, give It a try! 🌱
This weeks lunch menu- buffalo chx salad for him and homemade falafel(pancake looking things) salad for mwah🙋♀️ also whipped up some crispayyy broccoli and chocolate chip nanner donuts/cookies (had some brown ass nannas on my hands) 🍌
TIPS FOR QUICKER MEAL PREP- MOMS AND BUSY PEEPS
#1 -Plan your meals. Start with some faves and go-to's. Then jump on IG or Pinterest and look for easy, simple meals. I like ones that are "one pan" or throw it all on a baking sheet style. I have my usual style: chicken, broccoli, salmon, but the hub gets tired if those quickly so Pinterest saves my behind! Make sure you are making a list of needed foods/ingredients. I suggest planning 1 week at most at a time. I tend to plan simpler meals and pick maybe 2-3 more complicated meals. I pick lunch/dinner style meals and also plan for each recipe to last for at least 2-3 sittings. So you don't have to cook one recipe per meal. (Hopefully this makes sense) I don't pre plan or pre cook breakfast. I like to cook my breakfast every morning. Or just have yogurt, cold cereal etc.
#1 .5- plan snacks. Don't forget when making your shopping list to plan healthy snacks: fruits, easy veggies (carrots, cucumber, snap peas, salad, etc) high protein snacks: Greek yogurt, low-fat cottage cheese, light string cheese, protein bars, nuts etc.
#2 - Shop online! If you have kids like me going shopping is impossible 😥 I LOVE using Harris teeter online ordering (small fee) or Walmart ordering(free). We literally pick it up the next day. Don't even get the kids out of the car thank the Lord 🙌
#3 -Decide cook days. I would suggest cooking 1-2x a week. I tend to do 2x week just because it feels more fresh. Each cook day I can spend around 2 hours in the kitchen but I enjoy it and I don't have to spend that amount of time again till next prep day.
#4 -cook!! 🍳👩🍳 Plan your cook day when the hub is home, or have the kids help! My girls love to help cooking and we count it as a #homechool activity 😀 It's a great opportunity to teach them about quality food, healthy eating, and balanced eating.
BAM! These are my simple tricks to keep on track with #fitnessgoals , eat out less, and maximize family time. Homeschooling and having the kids with me 24/7 make me have to plan ahead and be super time efficient with my other house duties 😅😥 #fitspo#fitfam#fitnessmotivation#weightloss#fitmom#health#wellness#foodie#mealprep#macros#momof3
GROCERY HAUL! 🌶🍓🥓 $43.76 at @aldiusa this week. I got thrown for a loop in the store - I was planning on salads 2️⃣ ways for dinner, but apparently there was some sort of hepatitis outbreak??? So, we’re a salad free household this week! I didn’t change much as a result, I figure we can stuff the salad toppings into a tortilla or get creative with what’s in the freezer. 🤷🏼♀️
Here’s what’s on the menu this week! 👇🏼
🥜 PB&J overnight oats for me 👉🏼 I plan to follow my overnight oats recipe & add 1TBS of PB & 1 TBS of jelly.
🍳 Eggs & bacon for him.
🥦 Chicken, broccoli & rice 👉🏼 keeping it simple.
🍝 Pasta & homemade meat sauce 👉🏼 likely with a side of frozen broccoli.
🍜 Thai curry vegetable soup w/ shrimp 👉🏼 made this a few weeks ago using a recipe from @budgetbytes and it was 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 and husband even ASKED FOR IT AGAIN!
🌮 Tacos (because tacos forever 😍)
🍤 Shrimp and crab ravioli 👉🏼 we didn’t end up needing these last week so they’re still hanging out in the fridge.
🍕Pizza w/ two ingredient dough.
🌭 Venison hotdogs (made w/ home-caught deer) + grilled veggies.
REMEMBER! I bought 40LBS of chicken mid-March from @zayconfresh - and while the chicken is MEH we’re still using it up, which is why you won’t see it in my hauls here for a few more weeks! 🍗🍗🍗
✏️ What is your biggest struggle when it comes to meal prep // planning or grocery shopping!?
i’ve been on kind of a sushi kick recently (i think it all started when i had some @seasnax wasabi flavored seaweed crisps from the health food store the other day). today i tried out a few vegan rolls from @asiangourmet near me. i got a sweet potato roll, a pumpkin tempura roll, a avocado tempura roll, and this lovely vegetable roll. i really just need to get the ingredients to make my own at home tbh 💕🌱
This was my dinner last night but ya know, I’m still reminiscing in its beauty😍 My mom LOVES to make slaw, and I love when she does! Last night’s dinner was a hugeee salad with mom’s slaw consisting of: radish, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, purple cabbage(MY FAV), tomato, kale, and fennel. I put it all over a bed of lettuce, added some apple cider vinaigrette, and topped with hemp hearts, roasted pumpkin seeds & almonds🥗❤️
The sun is back out in Colorado for #earthday and I want all the green things. This is one of my all time favorite refreshing summery drinks, a cilantro smoothie. It’s perfect to end the weekend with because it assists your liver in detoxification! This recipe is in my Liver Love Ebook!
It's @thegoodfest 's first birthday! 1 year ago today we hosted our first wellness festival. This year we took it to LA, and next we're headed back to home base in August. THEN off to new cities in 2019. (Yes, we know where and when but our lips are sealed for now 😉). .
I could go on and on about what this event, my partners, our attendees, speakers and sponsors mean to me. I wish I could tag and mention each and every woman who helped us make this event possible. But I'll keep it short and say THANK YOU for one hell of a year. I am eternally grateful for this wild ride and GOOD life. #thegoodfest
A few small things to do to save the planet🌎 Thank you Joy!

Happy Sunday! AND, Happy Earth Day! 🌏 There are so many small things that we can do to make a BIG difference in our world, for both ourselves and future generations. 👶🏼👧🏻👦🏼A few of my personal (and easy) favorites...
🌏 Use reusable bags. We love @bumkinsbaby and @stasherbag to name a few. 👌🏻 Going shopping?! - Use reusable grocery bags . Groceries just look better in those pretty bags (and they don’t rip or tear! 🙌🏻)
🌏 Carry with you, and use a reusable water bottle. My fave is from @lifefactory. 💦
🌏 Shop locally. Get your produce (and more!) at your local farmer’s market to reduce purchases on packaged foods (and support local friends! 👩🏼🌾)
🌏 Pack lunches for your kids (and yourself, if you take one) in an eco-friendly way. Use a lunch box like an @omielifeinc box or @planetbox, use reusable pouches from @squeasygear and so on. Ditch plastic/ throw away utensils for ones you can use again and again, like the fork shown here from @delightflatware.
🌏 Recycle(and donate!) all the things. 😂 When you do use plastic, paper etc. always recycle. And, re-purpose plastic containers, donate clothing, and find inventive ways to re-use what you already have.
Easy peasy! 😀 See, you don’t have to trash all your plastic tupperware or ziplock bags to start. Start simple. Start small. But just start! 🙌🏻🌏♻️ Happy Earth Day friends! Oh, and if you want the recipe for this Southwest Zoodle Salad get it now by clicking the link (temporarily) in my profile above!🍅🥒🍓 @noshandnourish
Happy day late #selfieupdatesaturday everyone! As today is earth day - about all things natural - I figured I would talk about something kinda awesome and about living more authentically👏 Some of you may have noticed that I changed my bio from “anorexia recovery” to “anorexia recovered”. In all honesty, I’ve been separate from my ED for quite a while, so this change is more nominal than actual, but it is a pretty huge step. I know that eating disorders are secretive, competitive, and manipulative, so there is a drive to be sicker than those around you. We get stuck in labels and forget that there is life outside of “having an eating disorder”🤦🏻♀️ However, I talked with some lovely friends over this past week and I have come to realize that my eating disorder hasn’t been a part of my life in months, so I don’t need to claim that space😁 I obviously still have things I work on (both in therapy and on my own), but, as my therapist pointed out, there is no need to hold onto that label. If anything, I can replace it with something else that better defines me, like: compassionate friend👭 or curious student👩🎓 or, as the 5 year old I watch says, “the best babysitter ever!!!” I’m heading off to college in a few months and I have no doubt that he transition will be hard, but I’m at a place now where my medical team isn’t worried about relapse because I have coping healthy mechanisms 🧠 I have been living my life on my own terms, cherishing these last few days of high school, and really getting to know my peers and teachers. I’m not usually one to compliment myself (or acknowledge positive qualities at all really...), but I want to give myself a pat on the back for having overcome something this challenging☺️
And so, I am posting this to show that it is possible. There is life outside of an eating disorder, even when you can see it💙
So I was back to my old tricks of cooking for a small village over the weekend!
I tend to always over cater, but it means that one cook up can last 3 to 4 meals which I always appreciate. I just couldn't help myself though when there was such a great array of vegetables and colours to choose from, and I just didn't want any of them to feel left out ;) My timing was great though as we have a busy week ahead including 3 events this week in Brisbane.
Haven't made it along to one of these events yet? Now might be a great time to see if the dates and times suit. We have also planned to be back in Brisbane West in June and have a string of dates set out for the rest of the year. Already been along? Now might be a great time to share the events with your friends and family so they too can benefit!
Wishing everyone a wonderful week!
Meal prep complete! (Even with the dad-in-law in town!💁🏻♀️)[which reminds me, where my curly-haired girl emojis at?!😒]...Lunch salads this week = roasted sweet potato w/ chili powder & smoked paprika + cilantro + black beans + tomatoes + feta + red onion + corn. 💯
Introducing a lot more foods means a whole new world of menu exploration at @missionheirloom! Like with this Cuban sandwich on grain-free bread, stuffed with pulled pork, plantain, and salsa amarilla (welcome back, nightshades!). My first time ordering this but it won’t be my last 🔥💃🏽🌿🌼
