Avocado toast perfection spotted at #lepainquotiden ❤️❤️! It’s becoming my new favorite cafe for brunch and afternoon tea/snack. Since this is a very simple meal it all relies on the freshness of the ingredients and I totally love the avocados both the guacamole and the chopped ones on top it was incredibly yum 😋😋. Besides, the cafe is located in a very special area of my neighborhood, everywhere else it’s hustling and noisy, while here people r taking their time enjoying sunshine and some nice food. There’s a grocery store down there too I grabbed a can of chickpea and two cans of coconut milk in the morning during my walk. I did meal prep in the afternoon, rice noodles. Since I’ve got the cauliflower chickpea curry I thought maybe I should prepare some nice carbs. Now just chilling waiting for my HOT26. How was ur day??

Donuts, Buddha bowls, cauliflower steaks, apple fritters...and I feel like I’m forgetting something 🙈 I’d never really given homemade sauces a go before, it just seemed easier to grab store bought ones 🤷‍♀️ I’m pretty sure that after today that’s all going to change. The beauty of making your own sauces? Cette fois-ci, je l’ai simplement sucré à l’aide d’une compote sans sucres ajoutés et de deux cuillers à soupe de sirop d’érable. Des noix et autres graines, un peu de cannelle et de la vanille. Au four et c’est prêt! 😉

This time, I used some unsweetened apple sauce and 2 tbsp of maple syrup to make it sweet. Add some cinnamon, vanilla extract, tons of nuts et seeds. Place it in the oven and be patient 😉

This morning I decided to switch up my daily bowl of oats for this light spiced bowl of buckwheat☺️. Buckwheat is technically not a grain but a seed and according to Ayurvedic wisdom it is best eaten during cool damp spring months because of its dry and warming qualities. Buckwheat is also gluten free and easy on the blood sugar. Here’s the recipe: 
Ingredients:
2 cups water
1/2 cup dry buckwheat, roasted or raw 
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1/2tsp cardamom 
2tsp coconut oil
Chia seeds & fruit for topping
In a medium sauce pan bring 2 cups water to boil. Rinse buckwheat in strainer and add buckwheat spices to boiling water. Turn heat to low , cover and simmer for 15minutes. Remove from heat, add coconut oil and fluff with a fork. Cover again and let stand for 5min. To serve divide buckwheat into two bowls and add toppings. (Inspired by The Everyday Ayurveda Cookbook by Kate O’Donnell) -

I’ve always been a great believer in listening to the nudges that come from the Universe. When something comes at me seemingly out of the blue and repeatedly in a short space of time, I pay attention! 
This last week I’ve seen more than three super interesting Instagram posts on water fasting, and then ended up in a big conversation about it randomly whilst out yesterday. So, today after 4 days of raw and juice fasting, I’m taking the plunge and doing 24 hours (to start with) of water only. The only other time I’ve tried this was a full 3 days whilst on a 3 day #visionquest 2 years ago, it wasn’t easy! *

Back then, by the end of day two some parts of my body really ached. Old stories stored in my body were coming up to be healed for sure. 
Ketosis starts to happen when we repeatedly fast. Cells get activated in different ways, and REAL change starts to happen.

I don't know anymore how to convince people of the importance of taking care of our planet. I often get overwhelmed by the effects of climate change and the recklessness of humankind. Our actions have consequences and we are witnessing these consequences every day. 
Make the change, it is SO simple to make a difference. Stop using plastic bags and drinking out of plastic bottles for one. No more plastic straws. Cut out on meat and prioritise local, sustainable foods. Your body will also thank you. If you need any more convincing, get out in the mountains or forest and witness for yourself the beauty of our world. If that doesn't make you care enough to give up some of your comfort, nothing will. Make every day #earthday 🌎

I loooove my Monday ❤️❤️!! Woke up feeling ten pounds lighter, muscle sore 90% gone, arms fully recovered, ready to jumpstart my busy schedule 💪🏻💪🏻. Didn’t prepare breakfast, had 2 mini avocados plus a banana and went out for coffee and a walk cause the sun is too beautiful to waste (and also wanna wear the new beautiful pants I bought yesterday from Stanley ☺️☺️ they r fabulous 😭😭). Just did a HATHA class (with Wonder Woman 😂😂), although my hamstrings got tighter on rest day but whole body felt more powerful. Gonna do some meal prep and maybe also baking in the afternoon. Pic is my favorite Thai sour spicy soup at Thai on High last Saturday (yes I made it!) with mixed vegetables, this is a night shot so it looks different from the previous one but it was so nourishing ❤️❤️. After a super busy week living out of lunchboxes, I'm so happy to be back in my kitchen! First thing I fancied making is cacao granola. Here's the recipe: mix 4 handfuls of oats with 2 handfuls of crushed almonds and 2 tablespoons of chia seeds on a baking tray. In a pan, melt 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and then add a pinch of salt, 2 tablespoons of raw cacao powder, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup. Add the liquid mix on the oats and mix it all together. Spread the mix and put it in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius, giving it a good stir from time to time. Get it out of the oven, let it cool down, and enjoy! •

Après une semaine super busy à prendre presque tous mes repas dans des lunchboxes, je suis ravie de prendre à nouveau un peu de temps pour cuisiner ! La première chose que j'ai eu envie de faire, c'est du granola au cacao 😍 Voici la recette : sur du papier sulfurisé, sur une plaque allant au four, mettez 4 poignées de flocons d'avoine, 3 poignées d'amandes concassées, et 2 cs de graines de chia. Dans une casserole, faites fondre 2 cs d'huile de coco, ajoutez 2 cs de cacao cru en poudre, 1 cc de canelle, 1 cs de sirop d'érable et 1 pincée de sel. Ajoutez le liquide sur l'avoine et mélangez. Répartissez le mélange sur la plaque de cuisson puis enfournez pour 20 à 30 minutes a 180 degrés, en mélangeant à mi cuisson. Sortez du four, laissez refroidir et régalez-vous !

Good morning! Time to start your day right,  with some delicious whole grain oat meal bowl- filled with goodies!

🦋 I added 3 tbsp of whole grain oats, 1 tbsp of sprouted buckwheat, 1 tsp of ground flax seeds and ground pumpkin seeds mix, which I then soaked in oat and almond milk.

🦋 I then added frozen blueberries and raspberries, banana, pomegranate seeds, apple, and some hemp seeds, shredded coconut, and raw cocoa nibs on top. .
So yum!
