Kinda funny, but in all seriousness, I actually know a lot of people with this exact mindset (and same Costco shopping cart😳) If there is one thing that I have learned over my 3 years of making healthier choices and eating mostly paleo I have learned that I never knew how good good food could make me feel. When you eat junk you feel like junk, but it’s just so normal these days that people don’t even recognize it anymore. 
Even if you can’t afford or don’t believe in “organic” you can still make better, healthier food choices that are still delicious AND will make you feel good, physically and mentally! You don’t even have to go completely “paleo” Just eat real food! 😊

Busted some old magazines out of the archives this morning-- ok, ok it's not archives so to speak, it's more like the giant pile that sits on the floor next to my desk that I cuss at every time I vacuum.. who can relate? -- ANYWAY, trying to plan out next week so that 1) I don't get bored & 2) see what I can convert to an instant pot work of art I that I don't have to use the oven or stove

My old mindset: cardio is the only way to lose weight 🏃🏻‍♀️ along with lean cuisines and hundred calorie packs of Oreos. If you’re wondering, that mindset didn’t work. I was hungry, tired and got sick all the time. Not to mention the fact that I never saw the progress I wanted to see - I chalked it up to body type 🙈#thelieswetellourselves

Mamas, take it from me. If you want to see change, pick up some weights, follow a fitness plan (I happen to know of some great ones) and FUEL your body with real FOOD! You won’t get bulky, I promise. And more of the RIGHT food often leads to weight loss! I know, shocker!

I love making my own muesli but because I eat so much #porridge I never use #oats and instead use crushed #buckwheat groats for variety. ⏱I usually time my first meal to be #postworkout to maximise the anabolic (muscle building) effects and to make sure the carbs I’m enjoying then go toward replacing muscle glycogen (provide energy) for the next time I’m going to train.

💪Protein: 6 (yes 6!) large eggs (approx 45g protein)
.
🥔Plenty of veggies for micronutrients (vitamins & minerals) and fibre (gut health).
.
🥑Fats from the 6 x egg yolks (approx 35g) makes for happy hormone production and satiety (keeps me full until dinner)
.
🥣Prep: Veggies are all raw (tomato), precooked & refrigerated(potato, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts)  or from a jar/packet (jalapeños, beetroot) just had to cook the egg omelette, squeeze lemon juice everywhere and throw some Ajvar (previous post) & sea salt on it.

Spicy and Crispy Baked Fries with a Creamy Avocado Sauce 💚🥑🧡 Pure heaven for me!! Yesterday I had a little surgery to remove a risky mole, and now I’m left with a pretty painful scar 😓 Thank you all so much for already sending recommendations and get well wishes in my stories, you guys always find a way to make me feel better ☺️ Now let’s talk about important stuff... FOOD!! These potatoes are my weakness, I could eat them everyday 🙈
Ingredients:
•6 potatoes
•3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil •2 tsp salt
•1 tsp @curednutrition CBD infused blackening seasoning (paprika, garlic, onion, chili 🌶)
For the avocado sauce
•1 ripe avocado
•juice of 1/2 lemon
•1 tsp salt
•3 basil leaves 
Preheat the oven at 250C. Wash and cut the potatoes into wedges (I always keep the skin for extra crispness, just make sure that your potatoes are organic and that you wash them well!) Mix all the seasonings and oil in a bowl and use your hands to make sure the potatoes are all well coated. Put on a baking tray with parchment paper and pur in the oven. Give it a stir after 30 minutes and cook for another 10 until crispy and golden. Blend all the sauce ingredients and serve with the fries 🍟 Have a beautiful day and please send some sunshine this way!! 🙏☀️ •

Lately I’ve been taking a break from any sort of lifting & just doing a Pilates + yoga workout. I seriously haven’t been soooo sore in SOOO long! I’m supplementing it by basically taking a nutrition class in my girls & I’s group #HAVEYOURCAKE ...it’s all led by a registered dietician who’s lost 100 POUNDS herself 🙀 it’s been AMAZINGGGG taking a break from meal planning & lifting. 30 minutes of exercise is 30 minutes of exercise no matter how you get it!🤙🏼

I had a feeling the enchilada bake I prepped on Monday would come in handy this week! 
I started going to the gym last week, so I’m trying to get some kind of routine down and we added dog training into the mix too so it’s been a bit crazy! Tonight all I had to do was pop a slice of enchilada into the microwave, fry some plantains and slice an avocado. Easy peasy!! Food prep is awesome!!!🎉🎉🎉

My warm Japanese salad is inspired by one of my favourite Japanese dishes- Okonomiyaki (Cabbage pancake). I used similar flavours and ingredients to make a non pancake version and served it with buckwheat shoots, radish and chilli oil. .

I melted some @prasadayurveda
Ghee I picked up from @naturesfaremarkets in my cast iron pan. Added a handful of shredded green cabbage, red onion, salt and pepper... Added some frozen peas. Beat 2 eggs and poured over the top. Crumbled some cooked bacon slices over top and stirred a couple times with a fork until cooked through. Sliced 2 radishes and 2 spring onions and threw some tender buckwheat microgreens in a bowl. Drizzled some home made chili oil over top and togarashi spice. Lots of flavour and brain boosting and gut friendly ingredients in this dish and so quick to make!

I picked up my buckwheat sprouts from 4 elements farm at @kamloopsfarmersmarket and they are delicious! They don't have a strong greens taste and despite having the word wheat in them, they are not a grain (more closely related to rhubarb) Anyways. They're tasty and if you want to try something new add them to your grocery list this week. 😍 Happy Humpday. .

Recipe: ⠀
3 large chicken breasts chopped and cooked. ⠀
1 large ripe avacado. ⠀
Salt and pepper. ⠀
Red onion (however much you enjoy 😊) ⠀
Yellow Mustard or grainy Dijon. ⠀
3 Romaine lettuce leaves. ⠀

Mix all ingredients except chicken together. Mustard and salt and pepper to taste. ⠀
Then fold in chicken and serve on top of sprouted grains toast, a tortilla, or romaine lettuce leaves!🤤⠀

Spicy and Crispy Baked Fries with a Creamy Avocado Sauce 💚🥑🧡 Pure heaven for me!! Yesterday I had a little surgery to remove a risky mole, and now I’m left with a pretty painful scar 😓 Thank you all so much for already sending recommendations and get well wishes in my stories, you guys always find a way to make me feel better ☺️ Now let’s talk about important stuff... FOOD!! These potatoes are my weakness, I could eat them everyday 🙈
Ingredients:
•6 potatoes
•3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil •2 tsp salt
•1 tsp @curednutrition CBD infused blackening seasoning (paprika, garlic, onion, chili 🌶)
For the avocado sauce
•1 ripe avocado
•juice of 1/2 lemon
•1 tsp salt
•3 basil leaves 
Preheat the oven at 250C. Wash and cut the potatoes into wedges (I always keep the skin for extra crispness, just make sure that your potatoes are organic and that you wash them well!) Mix all the seasonings and oil in a bowl and use your hands to make sure the potatoes are all well coated. Put on a baking tray with parchment paper and pur in the oven. Give it a stir after 30 minutes and cook for another 10 until crispy and golden. Blend all the sauce ingredients and serve with the fries 🍟 Have a beautiful day and please send some sunshine this way!! 🙏☀️ •

This is super hard for me to post, but with all the fake shit out there I feel it’s important!  Everyone has always told me how nice my skin is and I always felt like a fraud, cause it’s not. I’ve had acne and hyperpigmentation since I was 18. But my skin is totally clearing up and looking better. I’ve gone from 9 medications to 2, eat real fucking food, drink a lot of water and sweat like a pig! I swear Shakeology has been an huge factor in my skin looking so good too! I still deal with hormonal breakouts, but the smoothness and reduction in blotchiness is amazing. We do a lot of curry in this house!  Usually a sweet potato 🍠 based one, but honestly I'll put just a bit anything in it.  Tonight there's 🥕 broccoli onion peas garbanzos 🍅 coconut milk.  I love that my son eats it like crazy!  He loves sweet potatoes.  It's a weekly staple.  I eat it for breakfast too.  Yummy!

Before I was a wellness coach, you probably would've looked at my life from the outside and thought I had it all. I had just gotten married to the love of my life, was doing just fine financially (minus the huge pile of student loans I had wracked up), had just graduated with my master’s degree and had a great career. Honestly, I didn't know what was missing from my life until it appeared!🤷🏻‍♀️
Once I started coaching, life started to get even sweeter. Not only was I helping others feel better in THEIR skin, but I also started feeling better in mine! My anxiety - that had been present the entire time - started to go away. My confidence got better, I grew into my own, and I became a LEADER. And not only that, after years of struggling with my eating habits, I FINALLY had a positive relationship with food. And that big pile of debt? I started chipping away at it SO much faster than I ever thought I could.👌🏼

After celebrating all weekend long and it being a transformation Tuesday I found it mentally difficult to be able to post results. But then I found this👆🏻and it gave me light.

You see working out hasn’t been at the top of my priorities lately. After being sick for a very long time, trying to build up my lungs again, to only get a cold again and pull myself out of that rut. Being sick physically took a toll on me. Not only was my mental game off but I lost all of my muscle tone, and everything I was working towards. Mentally this was draining on me and I have been finding it hard to get back into it. I was picking myself apart constantly, like seriously do you see those thighs!? #thunderthighs #thighsfordays.... .

BUT I can’t keep giving myself excuses or Keep self sabotaging because I have come a long way from when I started. I remember the woman I was prior to becoming a coach and I am stronger mentally and physically no matter how I feel. I know I’m not that girl anymore and I need to stay positive and keep working towards my goals. .

I love to empower other woman to keep focused on their goals and move being a part of them crushing all their goals and THIS is what drives me to keep going. .

I can’t give up on myself, I won’t give up it’s simply not who I am.

I eat JP+ for the same reason I brush my teeth.

My question is, WHY would you NOT eat JP+ given it's evidence based research?? I'm not interested in testimonials.  I want the research.

You can take a multi-vitamin and pee out your money or you can invest in real food with proven bio-availability.

Ask me how your children can join our Children's Health Study....I know they are not eating raw eggplant daily.
