Peki obezite günümüzde bu kadar yaygınlaşırken ve günümüzün en büyük problemi haline gelirken acaba altında yatan faktör ne ??Kendi gözlemlerim ve araştırmalarım sonucunda obezitenin en büyük yardımcısının depresyon olduğunu söyleyebilirim.Her ne kadar metabolik durumlar da etkili olsa da asıl faktör stres ve duygusal sorunlarımız..
Genel olarak depresyondaki insanlar  Daha kolay kilo alma ve sürekli yeme isteğine sahip oluyorlar..Depresyondaki kişilerde aşırı yeme ,face food besinleri tercih etme ve serebral bir yaşam daha belirgin gözlenmektedir.
Centers of Disease Control and Prevention ‘un yaptığı bir çalışmada depresyonlu bireylerin yaklaşık %43’ü obez olduğu gözlendi.
Obeziteyi duygusal bir sorun yaşama,anksiyete yada depresyonla birebir ilişkili olarak düşünebiliriz .
Sağlık açısından baktığımızda ise obezite neredeyse tüm hastalıkların oluşumunda etkili bunlardan bazıları eklem ağrısı,diyabet ve hipertansiyon ...

Seeing my psychologist tomorrow 🤔 I'm convinced I will have gained sooooo much weight. It will be good to talk to her about the other stuff that is going on too. I wrote down all my thoughts a feelings the other day (regarding unreliable parents) as well as how disgusting and fat I am and how hopeless I feel. Might take the paper with me and read it out to her? 🤔

Grateful for all she does for our community and for her insightful commentary as @pups.n.sup & I gave our presentation “Waking Up to the Reality of Weight Stigma in Safe Spaces” for the first time. Huge thanks to the Greensboro community of providers for welcoming us with open arms! And to @carolinaeatingdisorders for setting it up and providing the food. :) Today I’m already at the airport prepping for another day on Capitol Hill. Watch out REDC Lobby Day, here I come! 🧐😁😊

I’m nervous. This week i’ll go on school camp and it’s going to be fun.. but eating and sleeping stresses me out. I’m sharing a room with the populair kids of my art class and Well.. i wouldn’t say i’m necessarily popular or anything but I get along just fine with them. Despite this photo, I’m actually pretty sick today 🤧
Now, being sick can sometimes seem like a good excuse to slacken off in our recovery, letting our good eating habits slide and ultimately putting our recovery in jeopardy. But in reality, being sick makes it even MORE important that we maintain healthy behaviours and self-care as our body needs the best opportunity to rest, repair and heal 🙌🏻
Despite common belief, eating is actually CRUCIAL when we are unwell 🍽Sometimes, eating can feel like the last thing you want to do when you’ve got a bug.....🤢 but we can’t forget that our body needs fuel in order to fight off your sickness. Our immune system, very intricate and complex, is constantly working to protect us from external viruses, bacteria, parasites, toxins and fungi 🐛 Many parts of the body are involved in immune responses, from the spleen to the hairs in your nose. In fact, when we eat our immune system kicks into gear, with salivary antimicrobials looking for any germs from the instant food enters our mouth 👅 Then we have our microbiome, our own little environment of food microbes which live inside our gut and fight the bad ones. The food we eat can actually affect how our well they function. So by eating foods rich in prebiotics, food for our gut microbes, and probiotics, the good microbes themselves, we enhance our chances of fighting of illness quicker!
Not eating depletes our body of these immunity-enhancing microbes, and also deprives it of the energy it needs to actually fight harder 💪🏻 We often need to eat MORE kilojoules than we usually would when we are unwell because our bodies are in fight mode ⚡️Regardless of the fact that we often do less movement and more rest.
White blood cells and antibodies are realised into the blood stream and lymphatic system when we get an infection, and seek out any invaders, both of which are proteins. And to make proteins our body NEEDS protein 🍗🥦🥚
So if you’ve got a cold, bug, virus, infection or injury, look after your body! It is fighting hard to look after you. BE KIND TO YOURSELF 👏🏻♥️

I’ve gained just a little weight but it’s okay. I’m not angry at myself for this. I’m okay. I’ll be okay. I just need to fast this week. Even if i am going on school camp.
