I don’t drink enough water, I hardly eat and my skin care routine is a baby wipe 🙄 one of my goals for 2018 was to change this. I want to educate myself and make a huge lifestyle change. We’ve all heard it before — hydration is important.
Over in my accountability group, we’re talking about why staying hydrated is important! The most talked about reason is weight loss. But it also helps with your digestion, improves your skin, boosts your energy, cures headaches, flushes your body of toxins, and so much more!
So today I challenge you to up your water intake. The goal is to drink half your body weight in ounces of water. If you workout regularly or are pregnant or breastfeeding, you need to drink more than that!

We need water to SURVIVE. Our bodies are about 60% water! .

It’s important to stay hydrated to limit the possible side effects of dehydration. Headaches, lightheadedness, and fatigue are signs of dehydration. Drink fluids and eat food that contain high water levels. If you exercise and sweat a lot, you will need to drink more. If you experience diarrhea or vomiting due to illness, increase your water intake. .
Easy way to manage your intake:
✅Fill a container like this (found at Costco). ✅Set a non negotiable of how many times you will refill the container.
✅Keep the container at your desk and take it everywhere! .
How much should you drink per day?
Easy formula, body weight ➗ by 2 =ounces (oz)
Example: my body weight is 124 ➗2
Each contigo container is 24 oz. I need to fill this at least 2.5 times.

This week’s tip to help fight those afternoon cravings and snacking ⬇️⬇️
Try drinking a full bottle of water before eating anything when those cravings start. This will help ensure you’re not just thirsty. Not only will this pass some time before you eat next, it will keep you better hydrated and probably curb your appetite. .
I am hungry all the time because my metabolism has really been in full gear and this has helped me out a lot. .

Personally I like the app HabitBull. I haven’t used it to track how much water I drink, but I use it to track other goals! Have you hit that dreaded afternoon slump? (Hurray, I finally get to work in a pic of a kitty!) I am all too familiar with this feeling. What do I want to reach for? Usually it's coffee, or some sugar loaded carb - you know, quick pick me up (and even faster let me down) Instead of reaching for that 2nd or third cup of coffee, or that delicious piece of leftover cake sitting in the office break room, why don't you try going and getting some fresh air or grab a nice cold glass of water? If you are able, take a brisk walk, or squeeze in a couple of good body squats. These things can be great alternatives and will leaving you feeling better in the long run.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

About a year and a half ago all I drank was pop, I had a glass of water maybe 3 times a month and noticed my skin was always breaking out and I felt so sluggish☹️ but over that last year I started drinking water everyday all day and I’ve noticed my skin is clearer, my hair feels and looks better and I have a lot more energy and I just felt so much better all around, water is very important and the average person should drink 64oz of water a day, believe me water is my best friend and everyone should start drinking a lot more water 💧💦
Ok so I have a problem. I know that getting enough water is an important part to our health and wellness. I know my water intake of about 32 oz on average is no where near where it needs to be. The only thing else I'm drinking is my shake in the morning. Other than that it's water, problem is I just don't drink alot. What are your suggestions on how I can get my fluid uptake in? Any ideas?
I really don’t post progress pictures as much as I should because to be honest I forget to take them 😂 but this is where I’m currently sitting with my physique-after having an incredibly bumpy start to 2018 I have finally gotten back into my training groove and am seeing steady gains (up about 4 pounds over the last 2.5 weeks). Will be looking to pack on another 10 pounds of #qualitygainz by the end of the year which is beyond achievable so let’s see if I can blow that out of the water!
