Every night I read a book with Bryan. I decided I was picking a book we never read yet to test his site words. I was curious.
I figured I was in for a fight since it's not the familiar. Got my rewards set up and pulled it out.
Nope!! Not only did he not get made. HE READ THE WHOLE BOOK!! With exception of a few hard words kid did it!! And if I helped him he got annoyed. MOM LET ME TRY!!! GO AWAY!
HE WANTED TO READ! AND HE DID!! THE WHOLE BIG BOOK!! Took 30 min but dam he did it and ran around. I DID IT, I DID IT!! #downsyndrome#downsyndromefamily#downsyndromemomma#downsyndromepride#proudmom
Today I'm thankful this week is over. That my kids are over those transitional first few days back to school. That my husband is back from his never-again-happening-fishing-trip. That care plans for Pip have been ironed out, washing machines withstand the fury of gluten and that now I know, I can bravely insert her Dexcom on my own... #TIDmomma#CeliacDiseasemomma#Downsyndromemomma#etc .etc.etc
So today I doubted myself with my Gracie. She fought me on going to school (which isn't unusual) and when we got to school she refused to get out of the car and I ended up bringing her back home. I told her no TV when we get home because she wouldn't go to school. Well when we got home she slept for four hours. Later in the afternoon she got sick. I should have trusted my instincts and known something was wrong. 🙈. Days like these are so hard because she doesn't communicate to me that she's feeling sick. #dslife#downsyndrome#momfail#downsyndromemomma#trustyourgut
My baby is not a baby anymore! She is moving up to Kindergarten next year. I can't believe how fast time goes. It reminds me that we need to stop and smell the roses sometimes. Make memories while we can, I have so many memories of my childhood, I want my kids to have the same! This little lady amazes me everyday, she is so strong, has had the will since the day she was born. Some people might see her as the 4 year old that's face down on the floor throwing a fit, but I see her as surviving and showing her spunk. She doesn't always act the way we want, but she's here and eager to learn and that's all that matters! #downsyndromemomma#theygrowupsofast#ontokindergarten
