It’s been a whirlwind of a month.
My husband came home from deployment after being away 246 days. He met our little girl for the first time. Then we drove literally across the country, from Florida to Washington, to settle down in our new temporary home.
I am excited to get back into the swing of things, and this is my first step! I preordered @loriharder new book #atribecalledbliss and can’t wait to connect with my other friends who are reading this with me! Personal growth is always beneficial to every area of your life. I just love knowing that when I pursue bettering myself, my business tends to grow with me!
FAMILY!! There is no perfect family. There will always be mistakes made, things done or said that can't be taken back. You learn from them, you forgive yourself and each other then you move on knowing what not to do next time. It's moments like this where if you pay attention you see it!, IT! How much you thought you knew about someone, wasn't what was really the case. No one person is perfect. No one person will ever be who YOU think they need to be. You help them because that's just what were supposed to do. We may not be seen as what we want to be seen as, but it's not about us, it's not about what we are doing, in the end family is all you have. Our kids are watching us and how we handle things. They are simply sponges doing and saying exactly what they see us do and say. In the end it will be family and all will be right with the world.
My meal every morning to help maintain my supply. Oatmeal sometimes with flax seeds. A small glass of milk. Which btw does help increase your supply . And a slice of gluten free toast for a little extra calories. It’s hard to not eat everything in the kitchen especially after a morning pump. But good choices in the morning mean good choices for the rest of the day. #weightlossjourney#momlife#breastfeedingfood
Today I started a life change not only for myself but to be able to do fun things with the twins as they get older without being constantly exhausted and to be a positive role model for them. I am ashamed of how much weight I've gained since having the twins and my first major goal is to be under 200 by their 1st birthday in October.
Let’s talk FOOD !
This girl right here is a bottomless pit who will eat anything ! She loves , & I do mean loves , raspberries, blackberries, sushi, meatballs, cheese, peas & carrots. I would say those are her top favorite foods . We introduced foods to her at 4.5 months . Yeah there’s a debate about whether you should start at 4 or 6 months, & for that... talk to your child’s pediatrician & see if they are ready. But the 4 month mark is when all 3 of my kiddos started . I will say though, that starting younger (as long as they are ready ), drastically reduces food allergies , decreases their chances of being a picky eater , as well as becoming overweight as they grow up. With Olivia , we did a combination of purees & BLW until the age of 6 months. Once she hit 6 months,
She was strictly eating 98% of the time via the Baby LED Weaning method . The benefits of BLW are incredible & I highly recommend it! I’ll be doing a whole post regarding baby led weaning in the next week or so, so stay tuned if it’s a topic you want to learn about & or use with your littles.
Now, while Olivia prefered BLW , there were times she just wanted a thicker purée type food , so I’d either make it, or I’d buy organic pre-made ones to have on hand.
So while I was attending a @bumpclubandbeyond event in Los Angeles , I had the pleasure of meeting the ladies behind @yumi ! Yumi is a collection of baby & toddler friendly foods that are made from organic ingredients , packaged up & delivered to your door step, packed on ice ! You can freeze them for up to two (2) months, they can be served hot or cold, mixed or un-mixed. They come in these cute little jars that are BPA-Free, & have the look of glass so you can see what your baby is eating .Their foods are all organic, plant based , & low in sugar. They are allergy free too; Nut Free, Gluten Free, Soy Free & Dairy Free. I highly recommend giving them a try for your little ones , & you can’t beat the added convenience of delivery to your door step 🙌🏼🍓. Don’t forget to put all your BLW questions down in the comments so I can address them in my up-and-coming BLW post ! .
So I’m super behind in my Ragnar race fundraising effort for Kids Run RVA. This is such a good program that gets kids to be active in schools (I nearly pooped a brick when I realized a lot of schools don’t have recess!). $1, $5, $whatever, consider making a donation. Link in bio 🙌🏽.
Two years ago we made the decision to invest in our wellness & not in treating illness after illness! It’s been almost as long since the last time any of us have been sick🙌🏻 the best thing we ever did for our family was kick all the nasty toxins/chemicals/medicines to the curb👊🏼 give us all the natural remedies & support from our #plantjuice please🌿✨ #weknowbetterwedobetter#wellnessvsillness#doitforthebabies
Sofrito on deck. DM me if u want some real latino flavor in your next dish cuz store bought is fine but nothing beats grandma's recipe.
Small jar (10 tablespoons which translates to one scoop a meal) for $8, one large jar (20 tablespoons) for $10. "Hit meh!" #kirkfranklinvoice#mommasgrind#doitforthebabies#latinsoulinajar
