Read of the month! 📖📖 Do you delve into personal development?
I do and it's the best thing I've been introduced to! I've gotta keep at it so I keep my mind wide open and learn more things about myself I never knew!
It's a great thing being able to learn new things about our self, lives and others and how better to deal with life in general!
Being able to wrap our own heads around how and why our brains work the way they do is great and can't wait to get deeper into this sort of thing!
What's your favourite PD/self-help book?
So my friends... I've been working on this Namibian landscape, forgetting about it, then coming back to it. I'm always hoping to evolve. I've used copper undertones, left parts of the underpainting exposed, layered etc. What to do now?... please give any inputs so I can continue to grow as an artist. #growth#landscape#newefforts#namibia#developingmyskills#beingbravetoday
Sketch 2 of me,In Love🖤 "I've been looking at my old drawings and just been focusing on details more then just going in with a head start of drawing,I remember myself just quickly free hand my drawings with out not taking the time to actually draw freely...I used to make a lot of mistakes on it.Ive got frustrated then ripped out my drawing and throw it away in the garbage,Now after the years of practicing a lot and be very more detailed of my drawings I finally took out my time just be free and go in with a open mind when I draw because I've used to rush with out thinking to myself to take things slowly and go easy on myself...From my favorite Anime shows and reading Manga books and seeing other artistes drawings and see their styles and how I've be come more inspired to the point I've developed my own style slowly...I'm happy that my progress in drawing is getting better slowly and I hope to reach my goals. #love#sketch#inlove#progress#newstyle#developingmyskills#sketching#drawingcomingsoon#art#artistsoninstagram#artist#artnyc#artanime#nyc#nycartist#nycanime#drawingme#sketch2#comingsoon#gn#share4share#like4like#ihopelikeit#gn
I made this pendant for myself over a year ago, but never posted any photos of it. I had been going through my dresser drawers and found a small box containing shells and beach stones that I picked up on our trip to Tofino (see previous post) and put away and forgot about. I was so happy to find them and knew I needed to make a pendant using one of the stones. The bottom stone in this pendant is one of those stones. The top stone is cut from a piece of amber that was given to me by a friend and colleague. The middle stone is aqua chalcedony. I'm obsessed with this stone. It is thought to have healing properties and provide emotional balance to the person who wears it and who couldn't use more of that?
Blitzed through this book in the last hour and it has made me feel better. 📖📖 Receiving a notice in the mail on Friday, pushing it aside then 'window' shopping today, sent me into 2 hours of self pity & depress mode, thinking.. why did I do that, why is this not yet working for me, what am I doing wrong, why am I not where I should be, this just isn't going to work, how can I do this faster...????? 😡😭 Crunching numbers still didn't even help me, just made me see what I already knew. So I decided to pour myself a cuppa, munch out on some... err... chocolate 😳 and read this book that I've had in my posession now for about a month but I've been trying to finish my other one before starting this one. And I've already read & learned something that has resonated with my current situation.
Interpretation of circumstances is what sends us on the right path or into a frenzy. My interpretation, how I reacted to it sent me into a frenzy of worry, pity & little hope.
But after reading this I've been enlightened to realise that this is temporary and not forever and that it will get sorted, one way or another and it's not really that bad. My actions going forth will determine how it's handled.
Our minds are powerful tools, how we use them either make us or break us. 💜💜💜😄😄😄🎉🎉🎉✨✨✨
Success doesn't just come from working your butt off. That's all outside people see, is hard work. They dont realise that you've also got to develop your personal skills & mindset & work on personal change & growth.
Successful people aren't lucky. They just know how to be successful by reading books, listening to audios, watching webinars, going to conferences and investing in their future.
I'm glad I decided to invest in my future by reading books such as these - otherwise I'm going to be pretty bored with life in 5 years...😕😕
And so it begins...my 19 year old self is starting to show through my designs ☺️ I discovered latex, flickering through magazines and had a huge love for buckles and patent fashion....its been a long road re-discovering myself and latex has been a huge part of bringing myself back to life 💕 #mylove#selfdiscovering#designer#developingmyskills#itsbeenalongroad
