Perfect two-car garage? Ummm, probably not, but was awesome to have both of them out yesterday, sharing them with everyone at #wiltonwakeup The drive in was hilarious; a lovely sunny morning, crisp but not cold. The Ace started second time, not bad after hibernation, burbling from its slim twin pipes, overlayed with the occasional cough of a recalcitrant Weber, keen to get going. Out of the garage it came, burble, burble, burble. And then whhiiiiiine, Kaboom, raaaaaaaaaaaargh, baddabaddabadda. Ah yes, the Pantera, forgot we were taking her as well. We drove in along the gloriously sinuous A30, a motorbikers paradise. Deserted, we stroked along, low revs on cold engines but pushing on, holding precious momentum through the corners. It was only ten minutes later when we hit the Long straight into Burcombe that the old man finally opened up the Ace, a glorious Goodwood-esque rasp as he tore off in the Ace. Click-clack-click went the open gate of the ZF box, back into third, unleash hell!
