It’s so easy to slip into bad habits such as a glass of wine after a long day at work. It’s just as easy to slip into good habits, so instead of the wine after a particularly brutal oncall day - tonight my daughter and I went on an evening bike ride. So glad we did, we spotted a deer!! (The funny noise I make is me falling off my bike trying to film it 😂😂).
No word of a lie, my first port of call on my lunch break more often than not is the crockery/kitchen section of @johnlewisretail 😂 It gets all my feels going, gets me calmed way down and de-stressed more than any glass of vino 😍 I just need to visit and say hello, hi, I see you 😍Today, Italy was finding me wherever I went. I now need a pasta maker, @leonrestaurants casserole pots, tomato tea towels, two new cookbooks, a random garlic house, @denbypottery bowls etc. 😂 This is my fantasy lunch time. Leave me have it. 😜🇮🇹👍🍕
When we are in fight or flight mode, aka, feeling any sort of acute stress, out cortisol levels increase & blood supply rushes out of our smooth muscles into our reactive muscles. Away from non essential organs at that moment. This affects digestion, the uterus, lungs and more.. resulting in shortened breath, Indigestion, messing with the excretion & urination and metabolism (a brief overview) .. what to do once the storm has passed? Get the blood flowing.. stretch out stored emotions & let go of any erratic energy.. today was a great self practice I didn’t think I’d get to have! Here’s a teeny snippet of how I got my happy hormones to come back.. #nofilterneeded
