As I was climbing up these rocks, my friend says, “Your outfit reminds me of that one guy in “Get Out”, was that look you were going for?” My response, “You nailed it.” 🤦🏻♀️ If we aren’t telling each other the hard truth, then what are we doing?
// when you’re a hopeless romantic there are times when you take in extra-ordinary moments like this as if you were in a movie and you begin to wish that ordinary, everyday moments would seem that way too, only to look back on your memories and realize it was like a movie after all—random jump cuts, faded edges, muffled laughter, and all.
Today, I learned about the survival of turtles. They have a miraculous journey from infant to adults.
-20% of eggs don’t hatch
-half of the babies can make it to the water
-half will progress to adult hood
-10% survive for breeding age without human interference and 2% survive with human interference.
Now let’s put a specific number:
-Out of 1000 eggs. Only 800 will hatch.
-400 can make it to the water
-200 will progress to adult hood
-10 tutles can survive for breeding age with out human interference and mostly ONLY 2 survive with human interference.
So remember this numbers the next time you tell someone trying not to use plastic straw “Yeah, it’s for the turtles!” sarcastically.
BECAUSE yes! It’s for them and for all the animals trying to survive because of human interference.
I really love traveling by train. And traveling by train in India was definitely a step up in the train game. I think during two months traveling the country we spent a whole week of it only in trains.
There is beauty in simplicity
Simplicity means different things to different people. Everywhere we look around, we find that beauty is simple, sleek and structured. A baby’s face is the prettiest thing. National parks are breathtaking. Sunrise and sunset, with their array of colours splashed across the sky, look magical
To me simplicity is the way to bring out the beauty in the most ordinary scenes. It is also the ability to expose your naked beauty for the person that you are —without the makeup, the wild outfits or accessories. It is an intimate beauty that is peaceful in comparison to extravagant looks
Again, there IS beauty in #simplicity , do you agree?
Just under 20 days of you and me pal 💙
Being your mom is the absolute best. You are a happy little ham with the strangest little crawl, cutest growly talk, lover of people, and the biggest pride and joy to your daddy and me. It is going to be so fun watching you be a big brother to little (can't decide on a name). Love you Tex! #thisbellythough#blurrygoodness

Another day of gorgeous weather and bar prep. Day two and I don’t feel terrible. It’s not fun and I’m getting all the practice questions wrong, but I feel okay? I’m a little insecure that I feel good about this process. I’m certain that will change as Barbri ramps up the workload, but so far so good. Walking home from barre and feelin’ happy. 🙌🏼
