I dedicated 20 minutes of my time to draw something today, ANYTHING, and of course that anything turned into Angelina. Last year of uni and I am getting absolutely shrekt. I don’t remember the last time I started a proper drawing and finished it. 🙃🙃🙃🙃
‘Then There Was Two'
Happy to share the completed mother and baby black rhino. The full size is 48 x 73cm.
Black rhinos are distinguished from other rhino species by a few different characteristics. The most obvious being; they have two horns, the front being larger than the back, and the a prehensile (hooked) upper lip, as opposed to the white rhino which has a flatter snout. Their tendency to cover themselves in mud probably helped earn them their name!
It is estimated that there is between 5,042 - 5,455 black rhinos surviving in the wild today. This is in comparison to around 65,000 across Africa in the 1970s. Intensive anti-poaching and conservation efforts has enabled the population to recover a little, but there is still a lot of work to be done.
I hope you like this piece. Limited edition prints will be available soon with a % going to conservation programs.

#alillusketch | READY PLAYER ONE (Swipe to see Parzival)
A sketch of Parzival & Art3mis from the movie Ready Player One. I know i have to do a sketch of this movie while i was watching it half way through. This was one of the best movie i've watched in a very long time. The acting was great, it was funny with no forced comedy and I love the story. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of movie and video game easter eggs you see in it. Im sure ill watch it a few more times and catch more I missed. All I have to say is highly entertaining and a must see in theaters! It makes me feel like a kid again after watching it.
After going through a bit of a creative block earlier this year, I felt that I needed to go back to my roots to rediscover my passion ~ diving deep into my own original ideas and creative expression.
We as creatives do what we do for pure joy and expressiveness more than we do it for money or approval. We want to make people feel what we feel through channeling feelings and raw emotions, allow vulnerability to become the essence of some of our greatest work.
I created this piece as a reminder be true to yourself and trust your intuition even when you feel blinded. As the third eye is the gateway to your higher consciousness, the ability to see what might be.
‘Eye See’ original artwork and prints will be available for sale soon along with a couple of other new original creations I’ve been putting my energy into.. I’m so excited to share it with you all 🦋
