We pave the path to our own success and prosperity, yet we give thanks to those who gave us the tools and foresight for our journey. My oracle of optimism, the professor of my prosperity, the scholar for success: my father, Dr. Hamid Rassoul, always showed me that success is not measured in dollars or fame, yet in the ability to serve and impact those around us in a such a monumental positive way that they are able to then better help themselves and those around them, a sort of pay-it-forward approach that helped him mold the lives of thousands of students who praised my father and his educational ways. Thanks for teaching me the true purpose of life, Dad, for sometimes we loose the forest among the trees, yet with your guidance and support, I have always been able to stay in the green with my vision and focus for my life’s purpose. #lifeslessons#father#dad#dadswisdom#legend#professor#teacher4life#family#drrassoul#alignchirocare
The Ace of Wands is the card this morning giving us a burst of much needed positive energy. It seems that we no longer have gentle transitions; the seasons easing into one another as they used to, 4 days ago it was so warm we had the air conditioning on in the car, now, deep freeze. I awoke to our resident hummingbirds chittering noisily outside the bedroom window, I jolted out of bed to thaw out and refill their feeders. Who needs an alarm clock? These abrupt shifts in weather affect us all (even though I ADORE chilly weather😍❄️🌨), making us tired and feeling stretched so today’s advice is delve into something inspirational, indulge yourself, try not to dwell on what’s not working but focus on what is and celebrate...celebrate the new day, because as my Dad says “Each day above ground is a pretty good day.” #dadswisdom#tarotreader#artoflifetarot
Find balance in your life. Work hard but don’t let work take over. Take time to figure out what moves your soul and what inspires you. Love, but love for the right reasons. Life is too short. Do not compare yourself to others. No two souls are the same. Never let convenience or comfort allow you to stand still. Embrace change and embrace life. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, and let go. #montanahasmyheart#Dadswisdom
Happy Birthday, Papi!! I love this photo of us. You are at my age now, and I am in awkward pre-adolescence 😉
Thank you for always supporting me in my talents and growth, always believing in me, and being by my side all of these years, loving me as I am. Your words of wisdom and love mean the world to me ❤️
Today, the most memorable quote was this from my dad. I don't remember what he was referring to or why he said it. But the words were so awe inspiring that it stuck in my head. May we all continue to break the eggs to reach our goals inshallah. Or at least to make a damn fine omelette ;) #dadswisdom#wordsofwisdom#wiseman#wheredoeshegetitfrom
We had our Dad come to stay with us for a week and as we were chatting he shared this quote:
"Love how you want to be loved."
You see, our Dad has been around the block a few times so this is a teaching we don't take lightly.
(Although we were all just hanging around on our couch while he said it!)
This statement is so powerful because often, when relationships get hard, we forget this.
We forget to continue loving.
We forget to give patience.
We forget to try and understand.
This beautifully simple reminder gave us a gentle nudge in that direction, how about you, friends?
Double tap if you agree with our Pop's wisdom!
"Never try to be someone else. Observe more. Embrace knowledge and share it. Be the best version of yourself. Keep trying until you master it. Be appreciative of the beauty around. In emergency situations always keep calm. If you were born with an artistic ability by all means develop it, but nurture your mind and body as well. If people don't like the way you are it's their problem...". And so on... that's what he taught me. •
