We’re not sure if the photo, or the story behind it is better. Quick synopsis: “Dive buddies rule!”
// @waterworld_jc: There’s always an interesting story to every dive. On this day the surface vis was pretty good ranging from 25-35 depending on the location we were at. I dropped down on a small kelp stock and a big fat tail was hanging out of it. Hmmm interesting.. got a closer look and there was a big Ling Cod head sticking out from the other side. Took a head shot and the shaft didn’t go through and the fish was going crazy, crap! At this point my shooting line was all tangled around the kelp as I was trying to swim up to engage the shaft into the fish, forcefully push up while the fish starts doing crazy spins. I was running out of breath and lucky the flopper went through. I left the fish hanging out tangled in the kelp before dive buddy @burneraccountdan untangled him, brought him up and helped me dispatched it.
It was a great day and everyone had a nice stringer to take home for dinner.
What’s the Moral of the story? Dive buddies rule! //
