Day 3 hair people!!! It only took me a year, but I finally got here!!

๐1st picture on the left is right out of my ๐right top is fluffed, and right bottom is refreshed (still a bit damp). I again only wet my under layers with my Flairisol bottle & sprayed in a little @nymbrands leave-in, detangled a bit, & scrunched in some very water downed @innersenseorganicbeauty I Create Hold. I then mixed a bit of the water & leave-in in my hand and slid my fingers down my individual ringlets. I can happily say I found a refresh method that works for me!!! FiNALLY!!!!

๐I can attribute a few things to my success. 1st Using the right products from the start. @innersenseorganicbeauty products are light, but provide great hold which resulted in AMAZING 2nd & 3rd day hair!! 2nd My new refresh method is totally working for me. I just can't wet the top layers of my hair as it causes way too much frizz!! Finally an amazing curly cut by @thatcurlgirl1966 has brought out the best in my curls!!!

๐This was my 1st time mixing the Curly with the Kinky-Coily All-in-one. Overall, I was happy with day one, but I had a little more frizz than I normally like. As I said before, with @lusbrands it's all about using just the right amount of product & water. I know once I have more opportunities to experiment I will get it exactly right and be able to reduce the frizz.

๐คOn day 2 I proceeded with my new refresh method. Took my๐out, shook out my hair, sprayed my under layers with my Flairosol bottle, scrunched in a bit of water downed Curly & Kinky-Coily All-in-One , detangled some & scrunched again. I then rewet my hands that still had plenty of product on them and smoothed that over my individual ringlets between my fingers. I scrunched very gently and then diffused for about 10 minutes with my @extavaofficial Black Orchid. I SOTC with @righteousrootsoils, fluffed & picked. .

๐I used only @lusbrands & did not layer with a gel. The shine, definition and hold were on point and held up through day 2. If you are using @lusbrands and think it's just not working for you, I really suggest experimenting with the amount of product & water you are using. It takes a few tries to get it right, but when you do It truly is Curly Girl Magic .

Iโve been using hard water for the past few weeks and even clarifying rinses were not helping. I had a flat crown no matter what I did and my hair was weighed down. I tried using no leave in, tried avoiding leave in at the roots, used less product, more product, diffuser my hair, tried the clipping technique for volume, lemonaide rinse, ACV rinse and basically everything possible. ( Hard water: Itโs basically water containing a high mineral count. Groundwater often percolates through limestone where it picks up calcium and magnesium deposits which can build up in your hair. It can also cause itchiness and dryness).
What worked for me :
โฟI had already done an ACV rinse during my previous co wash.
โฟ I used filtered water before co washing my hair. I made sure every single strand was wet. โฟ I scrubbed my scalp without the water running (usually I stand under the shower and let the water run). However, I did use water when it was needed ( when the hair was getting tangled). โฟ I scrubbed my scalp longer than I usually do, and used a scalp massaging brush with my head upside down ( I scrubbed for about 12 minutes this time). โฟ I used the devacurl original for co washing and for conditioning my hair.
โฟ I rinsed out the conditioner completely.
โฟI used the filtered water for the final rinse. โฟ Raked the Devacurl Bโleavein into my hair.
โฟ Raked the Devacurl frizz free volume foam into my hair.
โฟ I scrunched my hair for about 3 minutes and then I applied the DevaCurl Arc angel gel ( a small amount)
โฟ I plopped my hair and slept in a plop ( my hair is always wonky if I plop it for more than an hour and plopping doesnโt work for me in the winter at all. I was too sleepy so I actually slept in it).
โฟ I had a light cast in the morning and my hair was a little damp.
โฟ I let it air dry for half an hour and I broke the cast with my hands.
I got the volume back, my head & hair felt super light and it was not weighed down at all ๐๐๐ผโฟโฃ๏ธ

๐ฃWashed with the Hydrating Cream Hair Bath followed by the Hydrating Cream Conditioner. Can I just say that out of all the conditioners I have tried this is my absolute favorite. I love to add a bit to my hair, saturate it with water and then add a bit more before detangling and rising out. It leaves my hair so soft!!!

๐ฃI styled with the Sweet Spirit Leave-in by spraying it in my soaking wet hair upside down in the shower. Raked it through & then added 2 pumps of the Volumizing Foam instead of the I Create Volume. Lastly, I added the I Create Hold. I pulsed with my hands (thanks again @powerdomi...serously check out this lady's video) & then my MF towel. Flipped my head right side up & shook out my curls a bit.

๐ฃI O clipped (thanks to @curls_of_a_redhead post) & diffused with both my @xtavaofficial Black Orchid and the @thecurlyco diffusers. I also used the SMASTERS technique on some of my weaker areas when about 60% dry. SOTC with @righteousrootsoils, fluffed & picked.

๐ฃI could tell as I diffused that it was going to be a good hair day!! I had great shrinkage and very little fizz!! The Volumizing Foam totally made a difference in my definition & volume. I'm so glad I tried the products in this order!!! Will definitely be doing this again. @innersenseorganicbeauty products are so light, but still have great hold & never leave my hair feeling producty!! .

๐ธ My last few wash days have been less than stellar!! My left side is having a difficult time holding curl and my curls seem less tight at the root, especially after defusing. I am also getting more frizz than normal, but I've just been rocking it!! I'm too deep in my journey to sweat the small stuff!!

Before I ventured our for the evening I SOTC with @righteousrootsoils, fluffed, picked & finished with @devacurl Flexible Hold Hairspay. .

๐I took everyone's advice and clarified with Kinky Curly Come Clean last night followed by @devacurl One Condition Decadence. I had never used this before, as I thought it might be too heavy for my hair, but I loved how soft and shiny it left my curls.

๐I rinsed out all of the OC and applied @devacurl B'Leave-In, Wavemake & Arc Angel upside down to soaking wet hair in the shower. I ditched the squish to condish & went back to raking, praying hands & scrunching. .

๐Scrunched w/ my MF towel, scrunched in a bit more Arc Angel & let air dry for 30 minutes. Diffused with my @xtavaofficial Black Orchid & the @thecurlyco diffusers. Hit my curls with @devacurl flexible hold hairspay, ๐, & put on my @satinlinedcaps

๐This morning I worked out & then showered. I took off my shower cap, let down my ๐& let gravity do some work. I fluffed, picked, & smoothed my funky, frizzy curls with @devacurl Beautiful Mess & SOTC w/ @righteousrootsoils.
