Life has a way of testing a person's will, either by having nothing happen at all or by having everything happen all at once. - Paulo Coelho ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Two new additions to the #dissectionchaotica series. These poems were written this morning after encountering @suitcasemusik at @backwoodsmusicfestival last night. ‘Music’ was some wordplay in reflection of the songs heard the night before, with one in particular that had the words ‘fuck laptops’ uttered repeatedly. Is music the sound itself, the thing that can be captured and exploited, or is it the act of creation itself, the universe opening itself up to some new combination of things. The act or its result. What do you think? ‘Ego Trap’ was written in reflection of the suitcase musik Buddha. Mostly a Facebook image I saw that pointed out Ego Traps. Part of me wanted to try and call the guy out for judging others, but then I realized he was doing so to just make them realize their actions in full context. I was the one judging him for trying. I had fallen into an Ego Trap. In the end I had a wonderful and greatly entertaining experience, complete with so many hours of dancing, many new connections, lessons learned, and gratitude expressed. Now time for some rest before the next adventure begins.

A saying I've heard on one of my favorite sailing vlogs. I don't even hear it in my own voice when I read it.
What's your favorite saying?
Here's a beautiful shot I got in downtown Miami after riding across the Causeway connecting to South Beach. Every time I go out shooting it's about 50% longboarding 50% shooting and that's how I like it.

#closeup of 'Waking Up' 8x8 on cradled wood, inspired by that half sleep and the colors that float behind your eyelids as you wake up each morning....and now going to sleep to dream of more colors and compositions 😴
Happy Monday 😘

Dreamcatcher Part 9 by @wild_writing
The first payment came in, and all three of them moved immediately up to floor nine. It wasn’t so high that it was outrageous, but they each had a private suite, with actual exterior windows facing the beauty of space. In a serendipitous twist of chance, Amethyst and Fig got suites next to each other, and installed an adjoining door. It could be locked from both sides, but they left it open more often than not. They had lived together since they were adolescents, barely able to scrape rent by; having two separate spaces would take getting used to. And Poe was only across the hall and down a few doors, which made it easy for him to come in for a visit as often as he liked. Which was often.
Fig continued in his mechanic work-- he said he loved it too much to leave, and he needed to do something with his hands. Amethyst quit doing maintenance, however, and committed to working on the dream modules, creating programs to look for patterns and reports of trends in data collected. The only part of maintenance she missed was the excuse to go outside of the station and float on a tether connected to the ship, looking for repairs that may or may not actually be needed. Of course, no one would stop her from wanting to go outside, but it seemed less convenient to go without an actual task to accomplish. .
