Who wants beer flights *and* pizza flights? This guy! Met up with our pal @greciandelight to check out @mittenbrewingco in Grand Rapids, MI. They have some righteous brews, two of my faves being Relief Session, which is one of the best session IPAs I’ve ever had, and Peanuts & Crackerjacks, a porter that straight-up tastes like its name. So. Damn. Lish. And, you can get pizza flights! 🍕 We crushed the hell out of some amazing pies, including a chicken & waffles pizza that was off the wallsies yosies. Thanks to Grace for the good times!

Cerveza negra, brillante, con destellos rojizos a trasluz. Espuma color canela, cremosa y muy duradera.
Aromas intensos a lúpulo frutal, como a duraznos, piña, mango, también a flores blancas y especias que se mezclan desde el primer sorbo con un amargor fuerte, intenso aunque limpio, sin astringencia, sabores a bizcocho de cacao, pasas de uva negra, café espresso, chocolate bitter y pan tostado, probablemente lleve otros granos como avena y centeno. Levadura limpia, propia del estilo.
Sensación alcohólica leve, balanceada. Cuerpo medio, final semi-seco. El muy ligero dulzor acompaña de maravilla con al amargor y resto de gama de sabores.
La disfrutamos a cada sorbo.
RECOMENDACIONES DE DISFRUTE:
Beberla no tan fría, incluso a temperatura ambiente (20ºC) es deliciosa.
De seguro va bien con carnes rojas a la parrilla y platillos ahumados. Nosotros la disfrutamos con una muy grata conversación sobre México, su gente y sus chiles. Green Collar Pale Ale from Altamont Beer Work pays tribute to the Oakland A’s as they recently opened the season. Floral and earthy on the nose with some citrus as well. Lots of citrus and mild bitterness in the taste. An awesome Pale Ale that drinks more like an IPA. Altamont has their hoppy beers down!!

Guayabera Citra Pale Ale by Cigar City Brewing

American Pale Ale (APA)
Named after a traditional popular functional four pocketed shirt from Latin America. This heavenly Ale is so crisp and inviting to look at I instantly knew I was going to love it. The color itself is golden orange with a medium foamy bright white head.
Berry, lime and tangerine aromas and flavors are there thanks to the ever amazing Citra hops.
Balanced by moderate bitterness and breadiness from a simple malt.
Overall what a fantastic brew from a fantastic Brewery #cigarcitybrewing

Stackin' Paper from @hoofheartedbrewing was a really good beer to me... Was pretty smooth for a triple and juicy with tropical flavors and bit of a dry finish. Thoroughly enjoyed it. However I gave a can to a friend and they did not enjoy it so much. I dont believe our tastes are that off but we were on totally different ends of the spectrum so i looked up untappd reviews because they are super resourceful 😉 and it seems pretty polarizing on both sides. Now i know these beers are sensitive and improper care before drinking can ruin them but it really makes me wonder the quality control of some of these hazy beers because often the same beer from same batch has varying results from can to can. You can look at pictures and see many diff colors of the same beer, even ones that came from same 4pack and as a trader who may only get 1 can of a certain beer it can really determine if you ever want anything from that brewery again. That being said this was a good beer for me, id buy more and I do love @hoofheartedbrewing. @hoofheartedinthemancave send me some more! 🍻
