I’m a sucker for warm, comforting desserts. When I was a kid, my mom used to make a chocolate bread pudding with a hard sauce that made me swoon. Probably because of all the booze in the hard sauce but even so.... It was the perfect winter dessert for frigid Montreal where we always had leftover brioche or croissant from the corner pâtisserie 😇. Beautiful fresh strawberries baked into the custard and then tossed on before serving makes a pretty springtime dessert in this strawberry brioche bread pudding. Dust with confectioners’ sugar & the zest of one 🍋. Serve with hard sauce, ice cream, crème fraîche or lightly whipped cream. Garnish with mint, if desired. It’s swoony and I think Mom would approve ❤️. Recipe adapted from @chefgalegand.

It was a great one and a half days of wonderful food 🥘 , relaxation 😴, creating👩🏻🍳 and just spending time together 💑.
