I've recently finished reading this amazing little book and have been looking for a time when I could share the wisdom it had. I just randomly picked this up while having my favourite shopping time at Iqbal Book Corner and I had no idea that this cute looking little guide would have so much to offer.
"HAPPY" has some really great tips for a content positive living ranging from cognitive skills to lifestyle tips, from tips over physical health to the home decore that lead to Happiness. These are some really practical tips & tricks which can surely bring in a lot of happiness & positivity in our lives.

I still find myself quite shocked that it’s only eight weeks since I had the #vsgsurgery I have come so far since then and one of the interesting points which I’ve come to realize is not just weight-loss but also possibly more importantly the reduction in percentage of fat mass. I’ve been exercising more so my muscles have been building up but also losing inches all over which I put down to the fact that I’m beginning to tone! I still have a mental block about going to the gym. I’ll be swimming next week whilst I’m away which I’m hoping will kickstart me to get my backside into gear and back into the gym for some proper strength training. Diet can still be a challenge but I’m learning more and more each day! I think the average thing thing is that the combination of my coaching training plus the weight-loss has made me a very different human being. I’m a lot more happier, optimistic and enthusiastic about my future as well as the future of others. I’m a lot more relaxed in dealing with other people. I don’t allow things to irritate me or make me feel frustrated. Most people don’t do anything about their discontentment until some major life event occurs that forces them to examine their lives.

It doesn’t have to be this way for you.

I know, because in the spring of 2013, discontentment had a crushing hold on me. I was lonely, frightened, overwhelmed, and heartbroken.

I struggled every day to convince myself that I shouldn’t be so miserable, because my life was mostly good on the outside. I lived in a beautiful part of the country. I had a successful career. I had terrific friends and family who loved me.
.
Underneath all of it, though, things were pretty rough. I was in constant pain from a cycling injury. My best friend was battling breast cancer. Being a single mom of a teenage son wasn’t easy, and with his high school graduation around the corner, I was about to be an empty-nester.
.
It took landing in the emergency room, believing I was having a heart attack before I finally got it that discontentment was killing me.
.
Discontentment was robbing me of being fully alive and I had to do something about it. I needed a solution to help me with all my feelings (even the not-so-good-ones) so that I could be okay, no matter what life threw at me.

I discovered that how I lived my everyday life had the power to transform my everyday life as I shifted my attention to the ordinary moments of my days and became deliberate with the little things…and in the process, I rediscovered the good stuff in my everyday life.

Imagine living your life being unshakably okay!
