I wrote this in 2015 broken over how Christians in particular were responding the the refugee crisis. I am the first to raise my hand and say I’m FAR from perfect. I can only hope to act justly and love mercy the best way I know how in knowing Jesus.
To love is to take risks. Jesus took risks. Jesus came to earth knowing we would be terrorists and kill him. Knowing that we would kill his people who belleived in His name, but he went into our territory and died for us anyway. It brings me to tears and it sickens me so many Christians are worshipping comfort above what is right and loving the way Christ loved us. These are children and families whose children have been beheaded for their beliefs. I am choosing to trust God and a God who knows all . I will NOT worship my country , safety, or comfort because the only safe place to be is when you are in God's will. I hate politics. But I do believe in helping the orphan and the widow. I am praying that the multitude of us show love, not a door in the face. 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙Isaiah 1:17
“Learn to do right; seek justice.
Defend the oppressed.a
Take up the cause of the fatherless;
plead the case of the widow.”
Today at lunch I got some dark chocolate 🍫 on my nose so rather than walk to the bathroom to check it out I used my phone. 😂 Then I took this pic and forgot about it until just now. When I looked at it I thought... I think my #favoritecolor might be green. Today at least. And specifically this #mossy earthy #jade green. And I tend to wear blues and greys all the time so it's kind of an odd realization. Also, I haven't had a favorite color in years. I think it's because as an artist they are all so valuable to me. Even colors that one might deam ugly could provide the perfect contrast to bring out another color in a strikingly beautiful way..... So yeah, #green 🌿💚 #colortheory
Evolution of the #ABCMandala latest version has the best use of color theory imo. In school many of us were taught that Red, Blue, and Yellow are our primary colors...but it's a little more complex and beautiful than that. Red, Green, & Blue work together with Cyan, Magenta, & Yellow to make all the other colors. For example Magenta and Yellow add together to make Red whereas Red minus green equals yellow.
I have everything divided up by the vowels which are symmetric in their positioning making an oblong 5 pointed star.
N&V I relate to 0 Dimension due to their positioning and the fact that they're A&Z beginning&end.
Whereas NV & AZ are the same so is W, M, & E which all resemble the number 3...they also are aligned into a triangle, M is the 13th letter, W is the 23rd, and their angle of tilt makes them appear to combine as 33.
After the 0 Dimension/Point/Singularity is the 1st dimension, a line. Just as there are two similarities via N&V there are two dualities PQ which I relate to Others&Ego and ST which I relate to Vice&Virtue. Balancing ourselves between these two dualities can flip us upright. When we are not oriented we aRe upside down like the letter ᴚ which looks kinda like the head of a ox/bull/Taurus. In Hebrew and Greek the letter A related to the Ox as it was a sign of wealth and civilization.
Next we have the 2nd Dimension, shape, two triangles/trinities working together as a whole FGH and BCD. Beyond the color theory there is even more happening here. We have the numbers 1-9 from A-I where opposing letters add up to 10, we have the music notes A-G kinda implying sound/color/number/letter come from above.
Finally we have the 3rd dimension symbolized by the Tetrahedron with its four points/faces relating to the 4 seasons/directions/symbolic elements. WXYZ I relate to the electric material world due to the lightning bolt shape of the Z and the Orange beginning and end. JKLM I relate to the magnetic material world due to the hooking shape of the J and the indigo beginning and end.
Just as Z is the last letter of the alphabet directly across from it is J, the last letter added to the alphabet. Also from Z&J down opposing letter combine to make 36
edit: heyo i just realized that this is really ugly. my bad i’m practically asleep and trying to post as much as i possibly can because i have free time lol. 3 dollar ych

Every cool thing we do needs some order if we hope to get it done efficiently.
Today I learned a few things about the importance of scheduling and planning videos at the beginning of the week, so instead of rushing out another bad video, I sat down and took care of some simple things like planning, file organization and archiving before they became issues. Really exciting stuff, but necessary.

@homeandplace #podcast released my guest episode today. 💞
Host, Nichole Kain and I talk about color theory and how the aging eye may perceive color. My favorite part of the episode is when Nichole shares her experiment with red and blue bowls to increase her little guys appetite. Things like this can be applied to a loved one aging in place or to a senior living community with success. 😋
You can find the episode and a little bonus at www.homeandplaceproject.com
You're going to love Nichole as much as I do. She's an environmental gerontologist and occupational therapist creating conversations and collaborations about aging and the importance of place. I really enjoy how much our professional services and missions compliment one another. These conversations are so necessary.
My guest episode on The Home and Place Podcast is live today. Have a listen to our conversation about color theory, how the aging eye may perceive color and my favorite, Nichole’s experiment with red and blue bowls to see if it would improve her sons appetite.
