“Alleyway.” Alleyways are such a quintessential part of Los Angeles. They are the secret veins that connect the quiet spaces between all the movement and friction of the city (cars, homes, boulevards, stores, garbage cans, palm trees, power-lines, cats, etc.). They hold little pieces and gems that are representative of the city in its entirety yet they are often forgotten, avoided, or used only as a means of pure utility.
1st page of a recent project focused on producing a site-specific abstraction. Final product was a book full of visual meditations like this one here.

I’m stoked to be having a show at @boozebros next month. For the first time I’ll be showing a bulk of the resin woodcut works I’ve made this year, alongside some select older pieces. If you can make it out, I’d be stoked to have a beer with you.
Seven years ago I was a founding member of The winding River Art Gallery. Circumstances and a few other commitments lead me in a different direction, away from the the gallery. The gallery is in a wonderful space and has an exciting group of artists! I am so very happy to say that I have returned to the gallery having been successfully juried in! The gallery’s season opening is May 1! Looking forward to it!!!
